Default Where are the Tamim haters

There r lot of tamim haters. I am sure you wud hv wanted him today. I know he does crazy stuff time to time, tries to hit every ball dancing down the track. But here is y he is the best opener we had:

1. He put soumya on ease. Soumya looked uncomfortable today. If tamim was there, he would be cooler.

2. Tamim strikes fear in opposition bowlers. By coming down the track, he unsettles the opposition

3. If either tamim/soumya bats through 10 overs, it gives confidence to middle order.

4. How many openers did come nd go, over the years? From nafees to kayes, shamsu, zunayed. None of them could survive.

Imrul in T20 makes Tamim look like Gayle.

Premature thread.

Tamim haters expect too much from Tamim but Tamim is by far the best opener in Bangladesh cricket history.

I remember prior to the series against Pakistan last year, some wanted to play Rony Talukdar instead of Tamim. I was the one who wanted to keep the experienced Tamim playing as I felt in big series, games with heat and pressure of the moments in the game Tamim will be more suited to handling any such, which he did, and ended up scoring back to back 100s and a 50.

Today is a perfect example you realize how important Tamim Iqbal Khan is at the top for BD.
Whether he is mediocre in this format or not he is the main opener and we cannot drop him even if he goes through bad patch.

Certainly though, he has stepped up his t20 game no doubt will be big player for BD in the World T20.

2 or 3 early blows by tamim can unsettle the opposition

He rattles bowlers trying to think them outside the box

Mas bhai certainly has a point. We only understood his value in his absence.

Today, our top order look absolutely out of sorts. Tamim is the only player in the side who knows how to play well against conventional swing. Also, he is a decent fielder. However, i still find that its a great shame that we have not been able to move past the Mushfiqur's, Shakib's and Tamim's yet. We are pretty much stuck with players with comparatively low ceiling. Shakib has hit his peak some time back but hasn't gotten any better whatsoever.

I am trying to be optimistic about the next set of players, but if our U-19 WC performances suggests anything, we aren't going to get much better anytime soon. BTW, hope to see Shanto, Miraz, Saifuddin getting oppurtunities for BD in the future.

Like it or not, our batting is just rubbish without Tamim. Be it test odi or T20. This match just proved it again

How long will it take for Soumya to find his feet in T20S ?
I understand Imrul is a low strike rate player seeing him over the years in ODIs & Tests but SOumya is a player with a 100+ SR and excellent average in ODIs but still crap in T20s .

Waiting for Ash to return. I think Tamim-Ash opening pair would be great in T20s (only).

But yea you wont find a Tamim hater anymore... Either they have converted or they are in the hiding. He is the best batsman in the team right now in Test and ODI.... and looks like he may very well be the best T20 batsman in the side very soon!

Tamim should be given a chance, all players go through patches good and bad.

Another grouse I have is that Mushy is playing way down the order.
In crunch situations someone like him who can defend well and rotate the strike is key, he can also take advantage of bad deliveries and keep the run rate within striking distance.

Shakib's run out was unfortunate, but you cant blame Sabbir who seemed to have been afflicted by a bout of cramps. He was repeatedly clutching his hamstring. Despite this, Shakib seems to be playing way below par and needs to pick up a gear.

So you first point saying all credit goes to Tamim for SS's success last year because he was there as a fan to cool Sarkar?

no its not. they should have asked a sylethi to sing amar bhai er rokte rangano in their language. total 14 language hoito taile.

its just that they are so insignificant that no one cares what they speak. so we let them pretend its bangla. by the way its no hatred. I have done more for sylhet than many sylethis. I am the founder and owner of their BPL fan club after all.

Its not kothin and its not a separate langauge, just a dialect.
Matiya jao khali bejan, fluency is not that important atleast to me.
I can speak shuddho bhasha as well the Dhaka dialect.

My family hailed from Moulvibajar (Father's side) and Mymensingh (Mother's).

Paternity leave ni ? for Tamim bah bah, waiting for the good news.

Sylheti is a dialect, just like dialects from Mymensigh, Dhaka, Noakhali or the Rohingiya dialect.

Its not hate... its from frustration from Tamim Fans.... sometime is may sound like hate.... but its not.

When he first came, the ceiling was so high....he achieved a lot....but he could have done more with his talent and little more hard work and dedication.... looks like he only works hard when his back is in the wall.

Nobody wants Tamim to fail.... we all want Tamim to be successful....take his career more seriously.

Talking about dialects Like the dhakiya dialect is part of Sudhho bangla lol. I dont understand a single word or Dhakiya, nuwkhali Chatagiya. Why in bdesh people so obsessed with one language why cant we have more to make it more intereting just like every other nations have, rather than just plain all same? Heck I read somewhere, even in Karachi, Pakistan they even have Bangla has one the official languages. Same nation that didnt want Bengalis to speak Bangla now adds it
But in BD we discriminate others of speaking their regional tongues despite fighting for right to speak own national mother tongue.
I think most Sylhetis would be proud to have their own language and nagri script brought back (which BD gov themselves destroyed it)

Why be plain and when it could be more interesting? Plain is boring...

Absolutely correct Mas bhai, .Variety is key.

Would we want a batsman who scores only off the cover drive or a bowler who only bowls in-swing ? Who would want to eat a dish made with only turmeric and no salt or chill etc; Excessive clamoring for uniformity, in the name of imposing Urdu resulted in the creation of Bangladesh. So, diversity is key.

Back to the topic, I feel Tamim would have made a big difference to the team in this tourney.
