Default T20I Ranking

Bangladesh punched high above their weight in the Asia Cup T20I, to send both Pak and SL packing early. But have to keep in mind that was at home. Hope to see no upset from lower ranking teams ie Holland, Ireland, and Oman in the WC qualifying.

Forget ranking. We need to win all our qualifying games and maybe 1/2 in the group stage of the main event.

Home away doesnt mean much in LOIs given the pitches are all generally flat. We were supposed to get smashed by the Associates in the last world cup. Ended up coping quite well.

^^ We had a long conditioning camp for ODI WC, a good part of which was in Australia. This time that conditioning is lacking.

On the other hand, Ireland already played couple of matches on Dharamsala, the venue for our qualifying matches.

The Aussies are pretty p*** poor in this format. BD ran them close in their group game at the last T20 World Cup. The Aussies finished second last in the pool. No prizes for guessing who finished last.

Did u check the score of their game v SA yday?! Chased down 200 in a t20, with SA having steyn, rabada. Their poor simply cause they never cared about it. But I think slowly everyone is taking this format more seriously. Especially with the emergence of these leagues... Where good international performances from players in the format, can earn them more money then performing in other formats.

My prediction is India and Aus will qualify from our potential group. (If we qualify that is). NZ will struggle without mcculum. But if guptill fires (which he well might in anger of not securing an IPL contract).... Then NZ got an outside chance

And the other group SA and wI (England with outside chance).

Final: SA v India.
India to win

I agree Australia is no.8 because they didn't care about this particular format...kinda like Bangladesh...We didn't care too much about this format, but since we focused on this format from the last series against Pakistan, gradually we are showing our true colors...So will the aussies I believe, when thay get serious about something, they mean it to become the best at it..
