Default Well done tigers

The tigers are slowly getting into the groove of t20. What a sensation Riyad was. I think our players, captain abd coaching staffs showed tremendous dedication. Winning against 2 big asian teams is not a joke. We played good cricket as a team. Hoping for the best in t20 wc. We might be missing a good offspinner though.

‘Bangladesh should be proud of themselves’ – said former Sri Lankan greats

Facing Indian batting line – up even if it is not studded with all stars, can be a daunting task for any bowlers in cricket world and the phenomenon was quite obvious in the final of the Micromax Asia Cup 2016 where Bangladesh encountered their nearest neighbor India to taste the first ever title of Asian supremacy but all in vain – it was India who won the match methodically, hence once again credit goes to their batsmen.

But one thing is certain that the cricket world has been stirred by the recent performance of team Bangladesh and acknowledged the improvement thereafter. Former Sri Lankan greats left their notes of appreciation in the social media after the match.

Legendary Lankan wicket keeper batsman Kumar Sangakkara said, “Bangladesh have played really well; but it is the toughest job to defeat Indian team comprised of performers like Kohli and Ashwin.”

Mahela Jayawardene twitted, “Bangladesh can be proud of themselves for the way they played throughout the tournament.”

One of the greatest batsman in the history of cricket Sanath Jayasuriya said, “Bangladesh must receive credit; in fact it was not their day, India played incredibly well in this tournament from the beginning.”

Russel Arnold noted, “Bangladesh have displayed really wonderful cricket and they must be proud of their improvement as a team.”

Sri Lanka always supported us. Our head coach, assistant bowling coach, chief groundsman are all Sri Lankan. It's sad that SL itself is in a dire situation.
