Where is Al-Amin FGS!

And I would love to see Miraz play instead of Nasir. Miraz seems to be in decent form and is a proper off-spinner. A quality fielder too!

There are few ppl don't like Al Amin.

He has done nothing wrong to get dropped. Attitude problem is an excuse. Tamim and Shakib had lots of attitude problem, did they get dropped? Hell NO so why Al Amin?

Maybe because Al-Amin doesn't look like the smartest guy in the world?

Attitude and fitness problems are just excuse. I thought kicking out Faruk and making Haturi a part of SC would have been great but instead, we now see the exact opposition happening. Coach is incorporating mediocrity in his team and keeping out consistent performers.

Lack of Discipline, Selfishness, these are all the excuse we have to keep out players who performed.

As they say: You don't know what you have till its gone. Faruk seems like gold now!

Taijul has been ineffective, yet still there. Afghans don't play spin well hence showed too much respect o Taijul but when they did attack him, it was with ease which shows he is not threatning them at all.
Al-Amin not being in the ODI side is criminal! He has been one of our best LO bowler for some time.

Good to see MH Rubel getting a go, I like him, he's tall and quite cunning type spinner, has done well in BPL even remember he was one the best bowler for DW in ICL!

Most people on here want Soumya and Mushfiqur out of the team but someone tell me when or how has Shabbir contributed to the ODI team apart from his fielding? People say his last 2 dismissal weren’t his fault as he got wrong decisions but look when he comes on he takes forever to get going and doesn’t take single or rotate the strike very well so he should be dropped for the next game.

1. Tamim Iqbal
2. Imrul Kayes
3. Mahmudullah Riyad
4. Mushfiqur Rahim
5. Shakib Al Hasan
6. Mosaddek Hossain
7. Nasir Hossain
8. Soumya Sarkar or Shabbir Rahman
9. Mosharraf Hossain
10. Mashrafe Mortaza
11. Taskin Ahmed

I hate to say this, but Bangladesh just doesn't have a world class batsman – it's so hard to produce one for some reason. Just look at the other teams currently:

Australia – Warner and Smith
England – Root
India – Kohli, Dhawan and Rohit
South Africa – De Kock, AB and Amla
New Zealand – Williamson and Taylor

Our closest – Tamim and Rahim – are not even close to the calibre of those batsman.

^^ I don't mind if we don't have "world class" batsman as long as we have a pool of 10 to 15 mentally strong international standard batsman like Tamim and Mushfiq. We would be able to win vast majority of matches with such players (like SriLanka).

Off topic : I will take a matured/consistant/accurate Mashrafee over "phast" Taskin any day.

If we had the kind of domestics and quality coaches then Rahim and Tamim would have been as good if not better.

Obviously, they have great facilities now but they didn't have as much support to aforementioned players have had since a young age. Our FC tournaments is substandard, no other List A tournament barring NCL and only a single T20 league - BPL which too is "subpar"

Mosharrof Hossain added to the Squad in place of Rubel Hossain...maybe a good move but I wanted Al Amin...

Mashrafee even though he is not as fast as before, bowled with a lot of intelligence and guile in the first two ODI's, which i really liked. It hurts me so much to see that he was trying really hard but his team came up short.

Mosharraf is a good choice he can bat like genuine batsman, he can bowl smartly according to situation. In those pitch we don't need both Rubel and Taskin, if it was Fizz then different case, but putting Rubel and Taskin in those slow pitch mean nothing.

I have little hope from Musharraf after reading this article - he is still referring to his success in ICL. What an idiot!

"I have done well on some important occasions, in the BPL final and also in the ICL where I bowled to international cricketers. I took big wickets like Inzamam-ul-Haq, Damien Martyn. I have been consistent in domestic cricket, in the National Cricket League, Bangladesh Cricket League, Dhaka Premier League and the BPL. I haven't really fallen into poor form in the domestic scene.

bhai are you not bit harsh on him? seriously, after getting a chance of long time break he is clearly trying to make a statement that he is still capable and belongs of this level which just came the word icl as a refereal not that he is promoting ICL. anyway, that saga is over so should we!

Perhaps I am a bit harsh - but was referring to his intelligence. Why would he bring that up? Saga was over until he decided to sell himself on the performance of ICL.

Hope I am wrong though - he replaced Taijul today, and I thought Taijul was performing fine.

How many of these Afghan players are actually genuine Afghans?
It seems like a few Pakis are playing as Afghans.

This series against Afg seems like last bpl in sbncs during neutral games. Dull, energetic-less atmosphere. England series will be bigggg and louddd, fans will be generating much much more atmosphere as it's against a bigger nation.

I think the atmosphere has been electric, having been there in the stadium myself. The matches were close.

The 3rd match has been dull though so nothing to say about that

Thanks BCB for arranging the series. We took 3 points hit on our rating, but it was well worth to prepare for upcoming 2016-17 season, where we got plenty of matches coming, a year that will be crucial for our WC qualification.

They should remember how hard it was to earn those 3 points...that should sink in...
