I emailed to the following email address with my full name and location. I think it is OUR RESPONSIBILITY to vote for Kenya, doesn't matter how many times we lost to them.
DEADLINE: Friday Morning 24 June 2005 UK TIME
Petition to keep ODI Status
Do you think the ICC should abolish “ODI member” status.
If they do, Kenya, which is the only country having this status, will not have automatic qualification to the ICC Cricket World Cup and the ICC Champions Trophy.
Placing them with the rest of the ICC Associate Members in the qualifying rounds would demean them. Kenya, which is believed to be the next Test playing nation, has come a long way -- close to being awarded test status.
Stripping Kenya of ODI Member status would take them back to square one. This issue has been recommended for the ICC Annual General Meeting in June 2005.
Friends of Kenya Cricket UK, in conjunction with CricketSafari.com are lobbying for ODI Member status not to be abolished.
Sign the online petition, which will be delivered to ICC before the Annual Conference, and show your support for Kenyan cricket.
