I just dont get all this big mouth talk by our boys especially Sabbir.

He talked about playing final, about being able to chase 400. All he musters is a 20-30 runs on a good day and other times he scores a duck

Players just kicked their jinxed out...They have not playing free licensed for a long time...they took the opportunity to try all the SIX shots and wanted to see how it felt to get out cheaply.

They will remember this on final round matches and will not repeat this in the semi against India.

Bowling:

From 2007-11, India went under a good transition in their pace attack. I recall their pace attack was pretty poor during that period. They have bounced back very strongly. Bhuvi, Shami, Bumrah and Yadav learned to bowl tough line and length along with nice seam position to get wickets and check runs.

In comparison, Bangladesh brought in quite a few raw talents during that period, and later on at present times as well, who couldn't held their pace and line in the long run. This could partly be due to lack of proper coaching followed by stringent diet and exercise. Stamina, muscle power, rhythm and control - the must have qualities fade off as they aged. Genetics is a factor but that can be overcome as shown by Indians.

Batting:

Feet movement when tackling seaming condition is a big concern in general. Irresponsible shot played often by the key players like Shakib is an repetitive non-addressable issue. When players think that if they don't play like such, they won't be who they are now, thats a psychological barrier no coaching can break.

Weak links:

Politics and personal clash are evident in player selection. Hom getting selected for no reasons and player of Nasir's quality getting overlooked surely draw the picture. Currently a major weak link in the line up is - unfortunately - Mashrafee who neither can bowl in crunch times nor can bat without slogging. He is there as a good captain - which certainly he is - but it's a tough ask to be in an international side just based on the leadership.

Should have batted first then, just to gain some batting experience on such conditions because it might be that they will have to bat first on Thursday. Just the whole body language was disinterested, no bothered. Shakib had a strange warm up game start to end. If they weren't going to play like quite seriously then it would've been better to bat first, even if it meant getting out less than 150! Least u didn't give the opposite side the proper warm up bowling junk and them tonking an easy 320 odd!

This sort of thing can happen in English conditions against good swing bowlers. England themselves were 5 down in 5 overs the other day and they are the locals. We need a conservative approach from top 3 if we face conditions such as this. It is their job not to expose the middle order. At the end of the day i am ok because i still believe in these guys. We rose to no 6 for a reason.

Lol so what was it, did we play on a flat pitch or a bowler friendly pitch?

Either way, our players couldn't take advantage of either

The pitch was flat as a pancake. But weather conditions at the time Bangladesh came to bat favored the Indian bowlers, and boy did they loved it.

Soumya's dismissal was wrongly called by the umpire (Erasmus)

I was on the ground yesterday, after India's batting there was little rain and weather changed a bit which helped Indian bowler. On the other hand Umesh bowled exceptionally well and bowled few unplayable deliveries.
