Default Death over batting continues to disappoint.

Once again. We should have scored 320 we scored 15 runs less. England can easily score 306 on a good day

What is shocking is that there was no urgency to turn the 1s to 2s.

Even in the last over Riad and mosa could easily have ran 2 on 3 occasions. But no.

Even when Tamim and mushy batted they didn't focus on the doubles.

Also there was an instance where Sabbir didn't even change ends with Riad before getting out

I feel that these little things like running hard is important. I can assure you we could have easily added 15-20 runs easily if we ran harder. These things matters not only today but in every match.

Mushy Shakib are the only combo who make running hard look easy.

Nowhere to hide for some senior players....

Where will you hide Riyad? he has been exposed today. He is only good in lower end if there is enough overs for him to settle down and then score. Not an ideal situation for #7 when team is doing well. He doent bowl anymore. Hard to justify him at #7. Either bat him early in the batting order or let him be the 12th man. Or he need to take his bowling more seriously.

Sakib. He cannot stay long enough to justify #5 slot.

Mushfiq. Yes he did great. But why you need to get out next ball after Tamim's out. Cant we expect better from you as a senior player?

Mashrafe. Sad that he is now a tail in the batting order.

Imrul. he is Senior player al right but still a very flawed batsman. There is little hope that he will overcome at this stage of his career. Except for a opener (as Tamim or SS replacement players for injury or off-form) I don't see much use of him in any other slot. Its just a waste of another slot. Yes I am not convinced that he will be very good long term #3 solution for us.

The hunger isn't there. Watch Wasim bat and he would make 100 runs in the last 10 overs in the 90s!

IMO and I love how Athar was spot on about it..

The game was lost in the last 8 overs from the two wickets. Bangladesh did so good to get a good start that those two quick loss of wickets threw us off balance and AT THE BACK OF OUR MIND we didn't recover from "isssh we are short of 20-30 runs".

It's like the players let that affect it. And it was palpable throughout the game.

Interestingly, had we scored 40 runs less, we could've played our skins out. It's like Paradise Gained, Paradise Lost...AND Never Recovered.

Truth though is even had we scored 350 yest, they would ve chased it down. Quality of bowling is simply shocking.

But yeah do agree, death over batting and bowling are both letting us down big time. Scary thought, neither coach nor management are doing anything about it.

Trust me those 30 extra runs makes a massive difference.

First, obviously it would require more effort but also there would be added pressure to score quickly which would cause their demise.

Also, momentum. If we had scored 330 we would have had our head held high walking into the dressing room. Remember how apart from a slight collapse we looked at easy chasing 271 against NZ? That is because of the momentum

why we didn't hang around with Bangla hulk Zia, i mean we could groom him. given him more exposer. he could have easily play in the team late order and between bowling few overs rather than torture seeing bowling by Soumya.

+1 for Ziya.
He was sidelined for no reasons. He is a decent pacer and a big hitter.

Count me in too. I'm in favour of Ziaur coming back.

I just think people make judgements out of context after few bad performances. Not saying ziaur was world beater but trust me he was bowling his heart out in the asia cup 2014 and was a good tidy wicket to wicket bowler, remember the 4fer he took against Zimbabwe to win BD the test. Plus he can hit them big. If you're looking for big hitting pace all rounder I think Ziaur fits well, Abul aso but I'd say Ziaur is more aggressive and has more ability to hit sixes. Yes he his flaws with the batting style and used to be quite wild swinger, but flaws are meant to ge corrected by the batting coach.

Ziaur can certainly improve his technique, he needed more time. His bowling is good he has match winning test bowling performance it's no joke and he also took a ODI 5fer; he is far better than Soumya, plus gives you big hitting power needed at 7-8.

After Mash retires it truely leaves BD with no big hitting abilities from 7-10! Ziaur can fill that void.

Should have kept ziaur in the squad. He needed time to settle and develop.

Pace all rounders are rare.
