my final XI:

1. Tamim
2. Sarkar
3. Mominul
4. Rahim(c)
5. Shakib
6. Sabbir Rahman
7. Litton Das(wk)
8. Nasir Hossain
9. Mehedi Hasan Miraj
10. Mustafizur Rahman
11. Shafiul Islam

Ideally I would have preferred Mosaddek in place of Sabbir...

I think it's high time we debut Abu Jayed in tests against Australia in case Shafiul goes through injury.

No way we win with this lineup. We are not going to out bat Aus. I would replace Sabbir for Taijul, and beg for rank turner.

You dont win test matches with part timers. Taijul is pretty reliable if he gets the right pitch.

So is Nasir. ODI match vs SA he got 3 crucial wickets.

Taijul can actually turn the ball more than the other two. And also makes sense playing him with Sunil Joshi as the consultant coach.

Criticism doesn't mean any hate. He deserves the criticism from fans if he plays poor. Now he's in good form in Test? His last few test innings are good but those were long time ago. His recent performance has been poor. Still gets all the defence.
Infact I would say he's one of the least criticized cricketers out there.

And for your information it's not Soumya but Hatura who is mostly being criticized for his bigoted selection policy.

WTH are you even trying to say?

Recent performance as in CT? So we should decide test team based on ODI performance? Brilliant stuff. You do all these mental gymnastics to make it seem like your criticism of Soumya is objective when it's pretty obvious its not. Do you ever get tired of looking like a complete tool?

Is Liton Das almost confirmed to be the WK? I think Hathu will go for Imrul over Mominul. Also I would prefer Mosaddek over Sabbir. With Mosaddek in the team we could replace Nasir with Taijul. Taijul's left armers would be handy. Mosaddek could bowl few overs if needed. The weakest link in the team is Safiul in my opinion. But anyway I think Hathu will pick this xi:
Tamim, Somyo, Imrul, Mushy, Shakib, Liton, Sabbir, Mehedi, Taijul, Mustafiz, Safiul.

If you wanna take an extra batsmen then Drop taijul and bring in Nasir

You can't have Soumya, Mominul and Imrul all in the same XI you can only choose 2 out of three.

I would choose 19 people:

Seamers: Fizz, Mohammad Shohid, ....

I think This is what the selection may come down to barring any injuries or last minute surprise inclusions.

Thumbs up Tamim in Test

To Whom It May Concern

Yes, Tamim's 2017 Stat doesn't look good at all. But he cannot be defined based on 7-8 months' performance only. Just look at his 2015 & 16 Stat, simply world class. Besides statistics, he has matured a lot in recent times, plays with more confidence and tries to stay at the crease to build partnerships.

Tamim's Test Average
Period Innings Avg 50 100 MoM MoS
 2017 10 32.80 3 0 1 0
 2016 4 57.75 1 1 0 0
 2015 8 53.57 1 1 1 0
 2015-17 22 44.47  5 2 2 0
 All 94 39.53 22 8 3 1

I wonder if Shane Watson is playing.

For the ones who don't know him, here is a rare clip:

Watson retired from all international cricket in 2016.

Or, I didn't get the jokes.

seen enough.... more then enough

Imrul, Liton needs to come straight on. If they can get Mosaddek back then drop Imrul as well. Soumya-Sabbir-Imrul...... that top order doesnt get more inconsistent.
