It's in the lyrics. After Bholo.

Zindabad and Joy. Prefer Zindabad it's got better meaning Long Live

Shakib said something really smart about Australian sledging: we are learning from them

Nah bro. Should always pick Bangla over Urdu. Both India and Pakistan uses zindabad. Joy Bangla is unique to us.

We say Jai Hind same as Joy Hind, although Hindusthan Zindabad is quite popular too, pure Hindi (Sanskritized Hindi) is very similar to Bangla with almost identical vocabularies.

I remember reading Rushdie's "Midnight Children" and he wrote "Jai Bangla" numerous times. I ended up writing him a letter explaining that it was "Joy Bangla" as in derived from bijoy. Finished off by writing "Obviously it's the same meaning, but when a country is formed on a lingual identity, these things matter Salman."

Never got a response. If he got it, then he probably thinks I'm a jacka$$

I remember the first time he said that in 2005 when Aftab Ahmed hit that 6. He probably has been waiting to repeat for a long time

Joy Bangladesh I couldn't watch the game because I am attending a conference in an awkward time zone but was so happy about the team (especially Shakib and Tamim's) performance.
