You see, pacers can get wickets if they follow a plan. 2nd session is much better than the 1st. Same players are playing. It is up to the captain to bring the best out of the bowlers. Set the field according to the plan. Which should be devised in the video room before the match starts.

Magically you can't blame Walsh for the lack of success in the first session and ignore the success in the second session.

Yes .... if you want to address the problem sacking the test captain should be part of the problem. Without that its just window dressing, not addressing a major part of the (bolwing) problem.

We need someone like Heath Streak... BCB should look into Australia, England or South Africa, as these countries are very professional and even the coaches are well trained and have a different mindset.
Walsh may be good for countries that produce naturally talented fast bowlers, by being an advisor. But for Bangladesh, we need someone who can teach the basics about line and length and mental strength.

I get the impression that some folks here have not watched a single ball this test, but are posting their expert opinion reading Cricinfo/cricbuzz commentary.

There IS nothing a captain can do if your four front line bowlers bowl atleast one ‘Eid mubarak’ delivery every over. Imran Khan, steve waugh or even a Morataza would struggle handling these guys.

Elgar and Markam were consistently fed deliveries deemed not good enough at test level.

A competent bowling coach drills in discipline, improves bowling techniques, guides a bowler to develop new skills, communicates his ideas effectively, develops plans to counter the opposition batting bla bla bla. Its pretty evident, this dude does none of that.

If I was Walsh, I would donate all my wages I have received so far to the Rohingya refugees and type in a resignation letter.

No way can a bowling unit concede 428 runs on a day one pitch.
