As per Nafees is 2nd best league in the world after BPL
Considering the quality of locals and production quality, and oh poor umpiring in not sure how he came to that conclusion.
Someone like Shakib Tamim Riad can tell you how good are leagues like PSL and CPL. BBL is way better in terms of cricket quality, crowds of 40k+ and also exceptional production

Commies saying Sammy is not fully fit. Luke Wright is also benched because of injury.

Ravi Bopara performing just shows the state of quality among our players. Too many foreign players batting at the top. Someone like Shahriar Nafees should be batting at the top 3.

SN's strike rate is poor.
Hence he does not play in top order.

True. Agree to this.
This guy has made BPL look a joke with his pathetic pitch curation during BPL. Totally unacceptable this. Come on this a freaking T20 format, you had weeks to prepare and he prepared this?

Strange to see Mehedi Maruf not playing for Dhaka, specially when he is our future potential T-20 opener. There should be a rule that a Bangladeshi player must bat in the top 3 for every team. How will we develop players when all foreigners play in the top 3 for most of the teams.

He played in one game so far; struggled. And he can find it hard to make the final XI now that Dhaka got Lewis and LaLa at the top of the order.

Jayawardene asks for patience
Quote:
The legendary Sri Lankan batsman observed that it would create tougher competition and urged patience from the locals for their home grown players to perform.
“I think compared to last year; the quality of overseas players improved. It is always going to be a tough competition,” Jayawardene told reporters after a training session at the National Academy ground in Mirpur yesterday.
“It is just two matches for each team. Give it some time. I think combination wise, it gives you more strength. It is a good challenge for local players to prove themselves. Only the best can play. Bangladesh want 11 players (at the top), not 30."

It's time for Abu Hider to be part of Bangladesh's limited overs squad. Same could be said with Roy. They will do much better than Taskin. I can't see the likes of Sarker, Shabbir and Taskin securing places under the new coach. It's actually these players that are holding Bangladesh back.

I’m in with those who dislike this rule.
I totally hate this, whats going on with the 5foreigner rule. It’s abusing the system. Look at Chittagong today on has 2 Bangladeshi batsmen in the top 6. Wasn’t this bpl meant to help improve Bangladeshi players batting and bowling?
This is too much. Are the foreigners in charge or team management? Wth is going on. This had to freaking change, you can have five men for foreigners but one of the opener has to be Bangladeshi, number three has to Bangladeshi, three batsmen in the top 6 has to be Bangladeshi, opening bowler has to be Bangladeshi. Rest can be whatever.
We need to groom a number 3, find a good opening bowler for t20i and at the top with the bat a solid t20 opener. This why we made this league - to help improve our deshi players, for Bangladesh T20/LOI, so that Bangladesh can benefit. But by having this open 5 foreigners rule, in the side, anyone coming up, some teams have two foreigners opening the bat and bowling. OMD!! Might as well call it ‘Bangladesh Foreigners T20 league’!

Having 5 foreigners will not improve our cricket. Our local batsmen arent getting enough chances in this edition. Winning games with Shahid Afridi and Carlos Brathwaite does nothing for our cricket. We need players like Mehedi Maruf, Mithun , Nurul, Ariful Haque, Mosaddek etc to bat in the top order and try to lead the way. They might fail in this edition but they will gain experiencr and improve in the process

Lets be real guys.
Our national players are poor in t20is, Sakib with all t20 exposure plays like a tail ender.
Our local players are crap.
The foreigners we got are not as good as ipl foreign plyers.
BPL is low scoring and lacks entertainment.
If we go with 4 overseas players BPL will be even more boring.
No one wants that.
But I do agree that more deshi plyers should play in the top/middle order, if they fail then the overseas players will tke over.

Taskin and Sarkar have had poor summers, but they've shown their quality beforehand

He was for the first couple games, then he was dropped. Maybe thinking about BD's youth?
The captaincy was handed over to Mushy
