Default Milestone to be reached:

2018 - BS-SL series (home): (2 tests, Tri-series 4/5 ODIs, 2 T20)
TEST:
Tamim: 114 runs required to reach 4k runs. 1st BD player ever to get there.
Mominul: 160 runs required to reach 2k runs. (Thanks Asaad)
Riyad: 79 runs required to reach 2k runs.
Shakib: needs 12 wickets to get in to 200 Wkts club.
Miraz needs 7 to get to 50.

ODIs:
Tamim needs 234 runs to get to 6k. Difficult task but achievable.
Mushfiq needs 436 runs to get to 5k. Not happening.
Imrul needs 2 runs to get to 2k. Hmmm!!!!! If he plays and doesn't get out in duck....
Sabbir needs 114 runs to get to 1k.
Sarkar needs 33 runs to get to 1k. (if he plays)
Anamul needs 50 runs to get to 1k. Fat chance to get in the 11 in this series.

Rubel needs 2 to get to 100 wkts.
Taskin need 5 to get to 50 wkts.
Fizz needs 6 to get to 50 wkts.

T20:
No significant milestone can be reached in 2 T20s. Even if anyone scores two centuries. That is how poor we are in this format. Same goes for Bowling. Fifers can't get anyone anywhere.
Mossadek needs 1 run to get to 100. With 19/20 average he is no special or anything in this format. With BPL 2017 flop, I am not sure if he even should make the team.

2018: (7 Home + 7 Away Test, 18+Asia cup, 4 T-20) (Barring injury/ommission)
Test:
Tamim should be aiming for 5k runs at the year end. (Needs 1114 runs)
Shakib is 1400 short of 5k. So that is also reachable. (Needs 1406 runs)
Mushfiq is 78 runs behind Shakib. (Needs 1484 runs to get to 5k)
RIyad has 1931 runs. 3k should be reachable.

All four are in their prime. This is not an unrealistic goal to shoot for.

Mominul should get to 3k at the year end.
Imrul needs 416 to get to 2k. So his goal should be 2,500 runs at the year end.

For ODIs and T20, I am not going go there because very difficult to guess who would be in the team. With the volatile coaching situation, player politics in keeping potential players out of the team, favoritism from the board; etc. I see it as waste of time.

Some are motivated to play for the team, wearing the jersey, representing the nation. Give the nation all that he/she have. As Mash said it, "I am no hero. Those who sacrificed their lives are the real heroes." After 15 operations he says, "Daura, Daura!!"

Others may think "30+ score, or two wickets and I am set for the next match" - in the process keep the position and income. Similar to desk worker collecting paychecks every month.

Let the stats become a motivation for personal gains which would benefit the team as well. Realistic goal setting and achieving it.

The rich history isn't there perhaps?

Like our boys, they have good memories of fire in Babylon as told to them by their relatives. I was always in awe at the way my grandfather and his brother used to debate on cricket for hours during a power failure. It was our version of campfire stories lol

Yeah, and my mom is very into cricket, she's gotten it from her father.

Biggest milestone will be Tamim 4k Test runs and Shakib 200 wickets.
Shak should aim for 235 by years end...miraz should aim for getting close to 100.
Dont want to see Riyad in tests ahead of Musa.

Mominul needs 160 runs to get to 2000. So needs to average at least 40 in 4 innings.

Why not make it in 1 inning?
