I hope we do well, our team is quite balanced and we do have a good bowling attack this time but I am gonna be realistic and don't wanna get my hopes up to high as we will be facing the likes of ABD, Kock, Amla, Steyn, Rabada, Morkel in their own turf, I will be happy if we manage to draw the test series and win at least a couple of ODIs.

Ur missing out a few people there.

Dean Elgar is good at home...also the new guy Markram.

Their biggest challenge will be the spinners

This is going to be an epic series. I m expecting top class cricket from both the teams.

If saffers show some spine and don't dish out doctored green tops then India might actually win the series and make history.

In SA home series against India, they have played 17 matches. In those 17 matches, SA have won 8, while India won 2.

Most my friends sayin India will lose 3-0, I don't wanna be that pessimistic though, I think we can draw the test series but will probably get pasted in the ODIs, our ODI team is overrated and the middle order without Rahul is a joke, I don't see our wrist spinners winning us matches either. Solely due to Rohit or Kohli's individual heroics we might win a game or two max.

Shastri contradicting Kohli saab here:

http://www.espncricinfo.com/story/_/...a-ravi-shastri

But it was Kohli who criticized people for judging India on their overseas record and not any of the other "top teams".

I guess we will find out if India are only home track bullies and heroes.

They have some challenging tours coming up in the next year.

Match is starting in an hour, dunno what's awaiting, no practice matches, players dancing around streets of Cape Town, I am getting a bit scared. Hope my bunking classes pays off. Best of luck India.

Bhuvi is a class bowler. His averages don't lie...the best Indian seamer out of the group.

Rahane should have played over Pandya and Umesh over Bumrah, IMO.

Funfact, the old gun Dale has not taken any wickets, against the Zimbabwe side, in the tour match.

Wow what counter-attack from AB, first half an hour of this test is already more exciting than the 4 tests of the current Ashes combined.

Not even an hour yet, I will wait and see, as long as AB is in the crease no time to rejoice.
