Default The problem with our batting...

I have been thinking of what we had been doing wrong for so long with our batting which has finally started to come together a bit in the Natwest series, and I think I have finally found it:

We tend to bat test-style in one dayers and one-day style in tests.

I just think that we, given the longer duration of test innings, lose patience, get over aggressive and throw away their wickets. While in one days, we have this obsession with 'lasting the whole 50 overs' and forget to take singles or risks and bat defensively. In the one day format at least, we seem to have resolved the problem somewhat, we now know how to take the singles to keep the scoreboard ticking and have a solid foundation going into the last 10 overs. However, we have to see whether we can show the same improvements in our test innings.
