He did was quite expensive though, but we needed wickets in defending a near-300 total. Rahkeem was running rampant; he smacked 119 off 96 balls with 4x4 and 10x6!!

Mr Cornwall has his fitness issues to work out, don’t think he’ll get selected without dropping some weight.

And this was him yesterday:

Rare for a Chinese origin player, Chapman may get this T20I debut for NZ. He previously played two ODIs for HK and currently hold batting average of 151!

From the small clips I've seen he reminds me of de villiers, moves around the crease a lot in shorter formats, will be very interested to see how he goes. As to his origin, his father is from NZ.

^^ His mother is Chinese origin. He is born and bred in Hong Kong, played for HK age groups as well as the national team. Only about two years ago he started to play for Auckland.

Yeah didn’t he debut for Hong Kong when he was about 16 years old? I remember a bunch of hype over him a few years ago when he did play for Hong Kong.

A PA article after a long time that I agree with 100%. Hit the nail right on the head :

পিচের দোষ দিয়ে লাভ নেই

Didn't Chacha said the same thing the other day, i.e. "পিচের দোষ দিয়ে লাভ নেই" ... its the players not the pitch. I think he also gave the impression that he thinks these players are kind of un-coachable.

If the guy continues to perform, and he is not picked because of his weight, shouldn't it be 'weight discrimination'?

I mean, he is one of our greatest young talents...

Breaking a glass ceiling in the modern game...

I know, I know...there were big frame cricketers in the recent past...But Rahkeem might be something better than a Inzamam or a Leverock or a Ranatunga...
