Default Miraz: "We are confident of chasing the total down"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Y0Bdw7ZEbs

Gist: Miraz believes that Bangladesh has the confidence of chasing the total down. We have some confident batsman. We won chasing 200 in Lanka, we can obviously chase 300+ at home.

Really Miraz, Really?

We will be lucky to score 200 in the last innings.

What should he say?
“We will lose by 200+ runs?”

Exactly..he might have been asked can BD chase the total. Obviously he would say yes we are confident that we can chase it

That would be a defeatist attitude.

What we are really looking for is a more mature statement like: "Look 300+ will be a very difficult target. We have to play at our best if we want to win this match someway or the other. We have some capable batsman in the side. Its tough work and hopefully our batsman will be able to take the challenge"

While Miraz said: "We are confident that we can chase 300+, we have some confident batsman in the side like Tamim, Mominul and Litton. We were able to chase 200 in Sri Lanka. If we can chase 200 away from home then we can chase 300 at home"

Even the most delusional BD fan would know the match is out of our hand. Instead, what our team says is that they are still "positive about winning" and in the process uses faulty logic. Idiots forget that the match we won was on a flatter surface, the wicket we are playing on right now is much more suited to the spinners.

All I can say is that 2 years ago, Soumya said he is confident that we can series defeat Pakistan and people laughed at him because we only won one ODI against Pakistan before that series. We ended up beating them 3-0.

I'm not saying we are going to win, the odds are very much against us. But it doesn't hurt if our players are confident.

Good on him. Would be an epic chase if true.

I suspect we can only hope to get 50 runs more than what SL get in the 2nd innings which would be around 250-270 max.

Only a 10% chance we will chase it down, but never say never. I just want to see Mominul hit a 50+ score and Tamim and Mushy to get some runs.

Would be great to win with Sabbir scoring another duck, lol.

He should've not said that. He's going to be a very important player for the next ten years. Next Shakib.

Why He (Miraz) and not a senior player is opening his mouth to the media?

There should be gag order to Junior players.... actually most of the players except few who are media savy.

Is Petua Chacha still the manager or he is just the strategic coach now? why he is not portecting his young players from the Hyneas?

Mushfiq would embarrass the nation and poor Tamim got fined the last time he spoke
