Surprised no one picked up the Fizz and Tamim in CPL. Sabbir too. But Mama-dulla is well loved in the Caribbean...

I want to do a podcast on the state of Bd cricket. Anyone up for it? My plan is to record the whole thing and release it. It will be a 90 mins discussion.

90 minutes of ranting about Mushy? I'd rather die.

I see a good demonstration of what is wrong with our team. We are a bunch of "achol bandha" "shonar cheles" who did not receive a lot of constructive criticism from our mothers and fathers (except on their bad days, when they would beat us, immediately followed by even more "ador" and "mishti khao, amar shonar chele"). Our families rarely taught us to take criticism, and to learn from it.

Here, Greenidge probably had some choice words for Sujon (possibly about fitness/attitude, or who knows what), but apparently it needed to be balanced out with smiling faces from three of his buddies.

Put simply, our team is full of females in male bodies who cannot take hard truths and need criticisms given to them on a platter with a side of biriyani and "you are so cool, bhai". makes me sick.

p.s. don't start accosting me for criticizing our dear parents. to err is human. our parents - we love them to death - are human. it's ok. or else we won't grow.

On a sidenote, our kit on the home tri-series and T20 against was the ugliest thing in existence. I was hoping Sri Lanka would lose because they would choke laughing at our kit.

But coming back to the tri-series are Sri Lanka, this is one of the best kits we've ever had! The darker green is cloer to our national flag. And it looks really cool because they kept it simplistic. Instead of overdesigning it. I would really want to buy one of these kits.

^^ Idk, the shirts are ok, but the pants almost look brown.

I really liked the red and black practice jersey from the tri-series. We should try that out once.

The ugliest kit was when Akram Khan played. They didn’t even have one his size at it seemed it was about to burst.

The sponsor was ATN Bangla and the sleeves were yellow with black stripes of a Tiger.

Whats the point of having selectors, I propose a rather brilliant and radical solution,

What if we have public ballots/social media, that decide the team selection. The votes can be ip-logged so only Bangladeshi's are allowed to vote.

Sometimes even I am amazed at my far reaching brilliance

The fans already decide. Just look at the sh*t storm anytime one of the fan favs gets dropped (mainly Mullah). The fans know less than our idiotic selectors. No thank you.

When I call Mushfiqur the historically bad wk, people bring up Kamran Akmal. But guess what, Pakistan had the foresight to drop him, so he would not cause any more damage. While Rahim still keeps in all three formats to this day!!!! That is what you call bleeding a team to death.

Mushy proved his die hard critics wrong, with the back to back T20I 50s!

We knew he is capable of it but has had a poor T20i record prior to the last two innings.

And after these two innings, it’s hard to drop mushy from t20 now. Unless Liton Das and Zakir Hasan do well consistently and mushy goes on a bad form again for another 1 at t20s. Btw BD doesnt play a lot of T20s so, a year will be like less than 10matches!

The narrative has been shifted I see

Usually the new learn from the old and the wise. looks like our Buro Dhari all are learning from the new (i.e. Nazmul). It was bearable, now it looks ridiculous.

What? No dude, there is no narrative here. My body of work on Rahim spans back 5+ years, do you know that? And my points on him are always as follows in order of importance: wk>culture>batting. But when he goes on very long dry spells with runs, of course you can imagine my annoyance given the cumulative effect of the first 2.

But since Bd is now a team on the way down, culture becomes even more important! We just can't afford cancers like the devious Rahim anymore based on values alone, I don't even need to bring wicket keeping into it.

I only wanted to provide a rebuttal to the classic Akmal comparison, hence why I brought it up. But even if I bring it up, it's not a shifting of narrative, because I used to be the hardest on him about his keeping skills to begin with. I am extremely consistent on this dude. I had identified the scrupulous ways of this tumor called Rahim way back, and have been on a crusade ever since to wake people up.

Against basically India C and a Sri Lanka that has struggled for awhile. We all knew mushy had the potential but in t20s he just hasn’t done it, I hope it’s the beginning of a better t20 career for mushy because BD cricket and it’s fans deserve better than senior batsmen averaging 20.

The kind of vitriol towards our players in bc makes me wonder if i am in ICF or a bd fan forum.
