Mushy is 25 runs away from reaching 1000 T20I runs,...

And a hearty congratulations to him for attaining an average over 20 in this format...helped by his last two innings (72 a piece), both not outs

What's this unhealthy obsession with playing Dilscoops ???
Dude, you get out trying to play that 90% of the time. Why do you still persist ?

The old saying of a dogs tail. Mushfiqur is never going to change in any aspect of how he plays or thinks.

He should finally decide to give up the gloves, and bat at #3 or #4 across all formats for the rest of his career. He's the only world-class batsman the team has. He has a sound technique for all conditions. We don't have too many reliable batsman other than him. The closest to him is Tamim Iqbal, but he's unreliable these days. We got plenty of better wicket-keepers such as Liton and Nurul who should be in the squads anyway for all formats.

His persistence with wild reverse sweep is a clear indication that we badly need a whip-master.

Extreme training helps Mushfiqur conquer extreme conditions

In a recent interview to ESPNcricinfo, Mushfiqur explained how practicing that bit harder improves his on-field performance. "If you can finish a lap in 50 seconds instead of 60, that extra motivation in my fitness level translates into similar confidence in the skills part. I always try to prepare well ahead of time, and imagine what I may be facing," he said.

He must have imagined himself batting in the extreme heat of Dubai when he opted for additional training sessions in hot and humid Dhaka (which would seem mild compared to the UAE) over the last five weeks. He was at it even during Eid, alongside Tamim and the captain Mashrafe Mortaza, going through fitness drills and skills training.

On another day, Mushfiqur put himself through an hour-long running session in the morning and then - despite being exhausted - joined his team-mates for a match simulation in the evening. It isn't the first time he's done extra work, and it won't be the last.

Fantastic piece by Mohammad Islam. Didn't know Dubai was so extreme though.

Mushfiq has been the fittest and hardest working player in the team for a while and batting for a 150 deliveries in the 40+ degree heat yesterday just confirmed it. He has always trained the hardest and never skipped a session even the optional ones. This dedication will ensure that he continues to thrive as he approaches the final 5 years or so of his career whereas the ones who have sailed by on talent alone will begin to decline.
