Default Is this a racist thought.

Zimbabwe used 2 do well with white players.
Now they only have a few.
Are these black players just useless.
If it is racist thought I am sorry, just tell me.

I will reframe the question for you. I think this is what you are really asking.

Has affirmative action worked for Zimbabwe?

I personally, do not believe in affirmative action. It's got nothing to do with racism but fairness in opportunities. Olonga earned his stripes, and he along with Streak wore the black arm band at the 2003 world cup to protest Mugabe's dictatorship which was razing Zim cricket to the ground with corruption, mismanagement and affirmative action.

You've most definitely structured your question to sound utterly racist. You've also completely neglected the glaringly obvious disparity in access to resources between Black Africans and White Africans.

Yeh Olongo and Andy Flower were my heroes for that action.I actually asked Henry Olonga a question on that event ON BBC Cricket Forum.
Yeh I know resources are aimed to the privileged in ZImbabwe, think its worst in the country.Currently in rural areas under cover cops from Zanu PF is telling rural voters not to vote for the opposition or else. The war goes on.

Yes it is a racist thought , color of one's skin does not determine the skill of a player

Yes, it's racist. It's just that their current players aren't good enough.

Brother brockley, you are NOT a racist, you are a friend of mine and I know you.
But bro, maybe you are a Boogan? A gormet maybe? Rooting all the time while enjoying a slab??
I learned these Australian native words from the australina members here in BC.
What I also learned here that there is nothing wrong being a Booger or rooter.

yes you have a point.

No its not a racist thought.

Yes some people will say its a racist thought because you are white (I am guessing) and they are not, and white can be easily shut down by using double standard on racism.

yes there should be no quota .... the best 11 should play either its all black or all white or in between baaed on quality only.

So my friend, don't get discouraged by some comment.... your comment is not racist.... some others (comments) are /may be.

Thanks guys.
Mire got 80 the other day and it was close, but the first 2 games, hardly anyone made 20.
I am wishing Brendon Taylor was back.
This quota experiment has not worked.

Though is racist but a valid one.

However let us not forget a few reasons the current team might not do well and might not be dependent on skin colour.

When Zimbabwe was a decent team with the likes of Flower and Heath Streak they were spending more money in their cricket to improve. Now sometimes they don’t even have decent equipment to play with.

Also they can’t afford always good coaches.

The current team has less exposure to international cricket than they used to. This quite crucial as well.

Also the instability in their country, they don’t have proper structure to bring in good players from all walks of life.

My dearest brockley. You know I was just cracking onto you.
You are no bogan. And I thought bogan means redneck - country folks!
Half of my family are genuine rednecks: My mother in-law's family are from the border counties between north Alabama and south Tennessee - Everybody's calls me BUBBA or Hey Budd!!?! Most of my wife's cousins' do not drive truck! They drive Camaros with the confederate flags air-brushed on them engine hoods!
My own father's side are from mid-eastern Bangladesh from a region where we don't even brush our teeth regularly everyday! There you go bro!

I was just playing with you, with those Australian lingo like rooter - hey we all like to root! What the hell!
Slab- Who would not want to hit a 24 packs of slab in the middle of the day, I know...! do!

Only thing I wish I was it would be a grommet or a razzle~! But I am a total Bog when it comes to stand straight on the ripper after hitting a slab! Now speaking of bog, I have to visit the dunny!
