Default BD under 19s will tour england next summer

The Bangladesh under-19 cricket team will tour England next summer as part of an exchange programme between Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB).

ECB chief executive Tim Lamb told The Daily Star Sport yesterday.

Now in Dhaka, Lamb said that the Under-19 team would tour England from July-August next year.

"They will play probably two to three unofficial (4-day) Test matches and three limited-overs games against English counterparts next summer," he said adding that the itinerary would be finalised later.

The top ECB official further said that the Bangladesh A team would also pay a visit to England the year after.

Meanwhile, BCB advisor and Cricket Committee chairman Mahbubul Anam said that both countries would undertake two-way tours under a four-year agreement.

He said an England Develop-ment squad would be touring Bangladesh in 2006 and their Under-19 team will be coming to Bangladesh in 2007.
