India\'s Dismal away record
.[Do you people know onething that India has failed to win an away series outside the subcontinent for the past 16 years...
that includes even zimbabwe.....The closest ever chance of winning an away series came in 2004 against australia in australia where they had taken a 1-0 lead in the series and scored 700 runs in the first innings(Final Test) but failed to capitalise due to steve waughs Brilliance,.....so all teams have lots to prove in International Cricket other than the greatest team of all AUSTRALIA

I am not really worried about that. During Ganguly's term, India has won Tests in eight (out of the ten) countries - only Australia has done better than that. The series win will come in a matter of time.

Well this debate came out a long time back about India's poor away record. But i was bombared by several members for even bringing the issue up. I'm not an anti-Indian fan, in fact i admire at least 4-5 players in the Indian team as i admire my own BD team.
But recent BCCI behavior has led me to lose that respect towards India, who thinks very lowly of us and treats us like crap. Mind you, I'm not generalizing here, i have plenty of indian friends; all i'm saying is they should respect us as we respect them in cricket and a few other areas.

Did i post this topic...but I m an Indian...We got to digest few facts as we r frm subcontinents who are very inept when adapting to Alien Conditions.....but facts say it all India is still the only country to have beaten australia in test matches the most no of times in 5 years
India-Australia head to head(Ind4,Aus4,,3draws)

This thread is not about Indian bashing, its about how the media bloats up their success. What about New Zealand a few years back, they almost defeated Australia(at their peak) in their home soil, nobody talks about them anymore.
It seems to me that India is forever going to stay high on their victory against the Aussies in 2001; yes that was a splendid performance, no doubt but consistency in life is what matters the most. I hope to see more consistency (hopefully under Dravid) in the coming years.
