Well all of my praise for Geraint Jones' keeping has just gone out the window. He was dismal in this test, dropping two chances, letting in 15 byes, not to mention the amount of returns he didn't lay a glove on.

I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt because I still rate him as a batsmen but if he's going to continue keeping like that then look forward to seeing Read, Foster, Prior, Pothas in by the end of the series

Pothas is South African, has played for South Africa and wants to play for South Africa again.

Reads England days are over I feel, he just isn't number 7 quality with the bat. Matt Prior is next in line.

It makes wonder how much G.J's Australian "background" played a role in getting him to replace Read. Comments?

I personally saw G.J's wicket keeping against the fast bowlers in the last few months and i was very very impressed. Although i would like to c how he keeps against a very quality spinner in a spinning track? His batting is also pretty good,,so overlal i like him in England side.

What sort of shot was that today though?

I kicked my coffee over when he played that. Here we are trying to save a test match, and what does he do? Slaps it down mid on's throat 3rd overl of the day

Complete joke dismissal.

Question: what do English wicketkeeper Geraint Jones and Michael Jackson have in common?

Answer: they both wear gloves for no apparent reason.

I think comparison can only be made with Wicket keepers batting at 6 or 7. (Gilly not included)

Sangakkara or Dravid can not be counted. They play 1st down.

Jones' parents are Welsh. They decided to move back to Wales, Welsh players play for England hence the ECB meaning England and Wales Cricket Board.
