Default Mini World Cup for second-tier nations

Mini World Cup for second-tier nations, I think Bangladesh and Zimbabwe should also play with the other 6 countries. This will give them a good experience and also some good wins. Currently the winning records are very poor for both these countries.

ICC trophy.

I think this has been discussed several times, and the conclusion reached is that it won't really benefit us or Zim.

Well only good it will give is probably give batsman good statistics and bowlers good wickets. Who knows probably Ashraff might score 2 or 3 centuries or probably there would 4 to 5 centuries scored by Bangladesh batsman in the whole series and probably 20 to 30 wickets in the whole series for the bowlers. Ah they would look a better records. And also the Bangladesh winning probably 5 to 7 games played. These will improve our ODI one day records.

This is not about the ICC Trophy. Instead it is part of the follow-up to that tournament.

cricinfo: Mini World Cup for second-tier nations?

"Bermuda is being lined up as a possible venue for a mini World Cup between the six second-tier cricketing nations. The top five finishers in the ICC Trophy in July - Bermuda, Canada, Ireland, Netherlands and Scotland - were granted ODI status by the ICC, joining Kenya who already held such a position.

The ICC is reportedly keen to stage a tournament ahead of the 2007 World Cup to help the six prepare for the main event in which they will all play, and Richard Done, the ICC's high performance manager, recently visited Bermuda to look at the facilities.

"We have discussed having it in this country; that's a possibility. South Africa is also on the agenda," he told the local media. "We have just got to decide where and when it will be."
...
"

I have seen this referred to elsewhere as a World Cricket League and being held in the spring of next year.
