Default Bangladesh in Deaf World Cup Cricket: 1st Match 17-Nov: Vs. New Zealand

The 2nd Deaf World Cup Cricket will start from 17th November in India.
9 Teams will participate in this tournament. In the first round all teams will play each other in a league format and the top two teams on the point table will play for the championship in the Final. All test playing countries except West Indies and Zimbabwe will participate in the tournament. The other team is Nepal.

Deaf Cricket International Federation organizes this Deaf World Cup Tournament. The first world cup was held in Australia in 1995. 7 test playing nations (Australia, England, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, New Zealand, and South Africa) participated in the tournament. The host nation Australia became champion beating England in the Final.

Bangladesh Team went through a 2-months training session to prepare for the tournament. The initial camp started with 70 deaf cricketers and then the camp was reduced to 20 players, from which the 16-member World Cup team was selected.

The following is the fixture of Bangladesh Team in Deaf World Cup Cricket:
17 November: Vs. New Zealand
19 November: Vs. Nepal
20 November: Vs. India
21 November: Vs. Sri Lanka
22 November: Vs. Australia
23 November: Vs. Pakistan
24 November: Vs. South Africa
25 November: Vs. England

nice. i'd always wonder why our teams didn't participate in the competitions for the handicapped. good to see we're finally breaking that trend.

yeah, apparently our performance in the Olympic games for the handicapped has been pretty good over the years. in fact, it's been brilliant! they really make us proud whenever they compete.

i reckon our handicapped atheletes are tonnes better compared to current players in soccer nd cricket...
