Guess a lack of preparation and team work resulted in that shock loss, along with hot humid summer conditions of Mid East at the moment. Its not easy flying 20 hrs and switching from 15 degrees to 35 and had only 2 training sessions to acclimatise with the heat.
Lets be honest here. Heat, humidity & inexperience aside, they were pathetic today. Guus Hiddink's influence was evident throughout the leadup to and during the World Cup. It is also evident now, just 2 months after his departure, that his experience is now being sorely missed. In truth, even though we played a 2nd string outfit today, and a 3rd string side a few weeks ago, it seems as though we are back to our old ways (Indisciplined at the back, lacking in structure, etc
We miss you Guus!
