Default Is Tamim the old Ashraful?

Tamim is showing signs of immaturity that asharful showed when he first started.

Trying to go for far too many big shots againts good bowlers and without assessing the situation.

Does that effectively mean we will have to wait 2/3 years before we see the real tamim?

Wouldnt it be better if we bought someone else in that time to compensate that naiveness and immaturity?

Tamim's done nothing to suggest that he is anywhere close to the class of (an on song) ashraful, tendulkar, et al.

i wouldnt put asrhaful in the same line as tendulka just yet.

He just reminds me so much of ashraful trying to go for the big shots. How much time do we give him?

I think it will be better if his playing domestic cricket until his 22/23.

tamim is a pinch hitter. he just needs to pick the right ball to go after.

yes, he's already shown signs of improvement and the willingness to alter his usual style if needed, unlike many others at the beginning of their career (including ashraful). let's watch him for the rest of the year before coming to a conclusion.

The boy has ability, why do want to hold him back ? It is not like he is not making decent contributions every now and then. Also, there is no great opening batsman awaiting in the sideline to replace him.

Tamim has done good. He just needs to be a bit more careful like not charging up to hit when the ball is coming at 90+ MPH against SA.

Since all our players young and also member of a team that is also as young as them, the promising part is that they are in the right track. We always just have to make sure that they dont go astray.
