Not sure if Mccinnes would be interested, it's almost a waste of time going after him coz he is happy where he is, you can write it down he is not gonna be coaching us. But I would really love him to. What about the other level 3 coaches from Australia?

New Age is now saying King is out of contention.

Quote:
‘The four coaches who have been short-listed for the job are from four countries – Australia, New Zealand, West Indies and South Africa,’ said BCB vice-president Shaheen without providing further details.

The only Australian candidate is Bangladesh’s former Under-19 coach Richard McInnes as Bennett King, who was in charge of the West Indies until the recently World Cup, has now decided to turn down the chance, sources said.

to a prfessional coach, coaching BD is always better than any academy. he is young, he has a long road ahead in his coaching career. so unless he has some strict commitment to somewhere, he will accept the job.

According to DS report, McInnes is still a possibility

BCB shortlists Whatmore successors
Sports Reporter

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has short-listed the names of Dav Whatmore successor. It was learnt that former India coach John Wright and former Bangladesh under-19 coach Richard McInnes are also in the four-member short list.
"We started with ten names but now we reduced the list twice and hopefully within a short time we can reach a conclusion," said a BCB high-up on condition of anonymity.
"What I can assure you is that all are from Australia and New Zealand and there is also a big name in the list," he added.
BCB is also searching for specialist batting and bowling coaches for the national team.
