Manu given full power

Daily Star reported that Mahmudul Haque Manu - the tour manager of the Bangladesh team and also a BCB director, has been given the full power by BCB president Ali Asgar Lobby.

[Even though there is a cricket manager - ASM Faruque is there in the team.]

Which I am sure is an open secret even before this tour that Manu had always the power to include somebody or exclude somebody off the national team.

After all, he has been with the national team touring a lot of countries in the last few years.

According to Janakantha, Mahmudul Haque Manu has said that Fahim Muntasir Sumit's performance in the practice matches was not good enough.

Also, I think he talked too much in favor of Durjoy. He also mentioned the names of Sujon and Mushfique along with criticizing the selection panel for not considering the SriLankan condition while selecting th team.

I wonder if he was the man behind Durjoy's being a captain for a long time.

Durjoy should get another chance. His performence sucked as a captain. But as a player, he is definitly a choice.

But Manu is right about the selectors. Very poor selections.
