So true so true....

On the other hand still supporting Ash for a slot in the national team can also be termed as Mirjafori. Sacrifizing team's nead at the sake of their idol's career even it hurts the team. Some fans are still day-dreaming and wetting their pants based on What Ash have done once in a while one and half years ago, not realizing that its now close to 2006 Fall not 2005 Spring/Early Summer and Ash is now hurting the team rather than helping the team.

Well looks like we are either all bunch of Smart Mirjafars or a bunch of Ahammok Mirjafars, no in betweens.

I don't care what Ash-Fool might be doing for helping a party-cricket type team like Rainhill to qualify for league...His contribution for the National Team is getting worse day by day. That's what important.I am hopeful that someday soon Mehrab Jr. or someone else will prove themselves to be better consistant and Ash-Fool will be kicked out.Waiting for that day.

Why don't you wish that ash can play every two game they way he played agains australia or something instead you r praying for another guy and then in few days you will hate that guy and start to pray for another you see my point?

Our bc members should should stop hoping that somebody from 19 will come and make us champs where as the reallity is every time a new guy comes in he playes well for a while and then our bc members tries to move him for another 18...when will this stop?

Of course I wish and pray that Ash plays those match winning innings once in two games. But, you see, he is playing those once or twice a year.I reckon I have been little frustrated with his performance, but what I actually wanted to mean is we have good lineup now and if we just keep Ash for getting those two innings a year, many of the promising boys won't even get chance. To stay in the team performace and consistency should be the indicator.Anyways, whatever I might think Ash is going to get selected for every tours, at least for one/two more years, no matter what his performace might be.So, have no other option than praying for his consistency.

Puck, you should go through the thread before asking questions. Answers to both of your questions are given within the thread discussion. No need to bump the thread apparently for no reason.

Anyway, he performed OK and Rainhill got promoted.

Why should he play in Rainhill. He is just selected as "Superstar of the future". See the other thread.

(Future) Superstars doesn't play in sissy league. Do they?

Provided the incredible talent they were both born with, Ash and his darker side, obviously too good for all other levels of BD cricket, should focus entirely on application and cease to be their own worst enemy by continuing to play higher-risk lofted shots. Until they do and become one again, they'll continue to do what they do most of the times, and improve at a much slower rate than they expect themselves to. Until "Ash" does something about that particular issue, the "(ra)fool" only deserves to play for the "Fokirapool" of English cricket. Doesn't matter that others can't even manage that.

He does have youth on his side as a major mitigating factor. I guess we better bite the bullet and and wait for that peak range of 27 to 32 years to bless us with.
