Bangladesh, Whatmore was paid 8K USD per month. Its about 100K no tax, all expense and vacation paid, plus bonus.

Salary of the current coach? TOO MUCH ...

Salary of the future coach? Not enough ...

My guess the future salary of the BD coach will be much less than what they used to have. BCB already figured it out that the Comando Boot camp is much better and cost effective way to train our team than giving high salaries high profile coaches. The cost of arrainging a Comando Boot Camp under Army supervision is minimal.

Wasn´t it was his initial salary? I think he got more than 10K USD after renewing his contract BCB.

Fazal,

If you're looking at acquiring a bunch of injured and ineffective sportsmen, then boot camps are a really, really great idea.

The idea has been tried in several codes in Australia. It's a really, really stupid one.

Then the salary is very low, I should say. A senior software engineer in my company gets the salary of this high profile job. $120,000 is not any big salary in international market. I'm thinking how DW is running his life as he is yet to find a job. Any mid level contract/temporary job pays like this.

Damn, that's really cheap... obviously, as a job in Bangladesh, it's a lot... but at the International level that is hella cheap for the coach of a top ranked national team!

Well ideally, players should be paid more than coaches. Doesn't happen in Bangladesh, yet.

That Whatmore was a expensive bugga.....and he was worth every penny!!!!!!!!!!!!

He helped us bring some sense into the chaos of the team and the structure of the leagues, build spirit confidence among the players, bring in the new lads and make sure no under performers were allowed.

The man has made his mark by taking Sri Lanka to win a world cup.

He is the most succesful coach of Bangladesh.

Our players used to struggle while playing teams like Kenya. All the results you will see for the next 3-4 years will be his doing.

The guy did take alot of dough but I guess it was halal. Compare it with the coach we had who made us look dismal during the world cup in South Africa when we lost to Canada.
