Thanks Nocturnal.

No surprise, Dhaka has the strongest fan base at Banglacricket.

Barisal might surprise opponents. I will be more keen to monitor the progress of Roqibul Hasan and Arafat Salahuddin.

My allegiances are forever with Pabna. By the same token, i am gonna support Rajshahi.

Go Rajshahi.

I am waiting for the day when all of my Pabna inmates will get to play for Rajshahi. Some of them have managed to play for the BD national team.

Domestic cricket represents the depth of cricketing strength for any Test playing nation. Bangladeshi domestic cricket, as may be expected from the newest member of the Test family, is still at a developmental phase. Bangladesh inherited a rich cricketing history, as it was initially part of Bengal and then East Pakistan. Dhaka Stadium (Current BNS) hosted Test matches during Pakistan era. After gaining independence it took a while to enter into the world cricketing arena.

wow. i am really impressed. such a good article. It should be in the front page article . thanks miraz

Ashraful mentioned about a second reason of why this year's NCL will be more competitive - "it is not all about the money instead stating that the participation of national players will make the tournament more competitive than in the last few years".

Ashraful didn't seem to be in support of making NZ like pitches to do well in NZ - "What would be wise for us is to ensure wickets which produce even bounce. And I suggest batting wickets for the one-day competition because if we can make a habit of posting 250 plus runs then it will ultimately bring some positives".

The 6 rounds the Nat'l players can play in this league will be a good practice for them, I believe.

The way Ashraful (and Aftab) usually bats, there is no reason for him to be happy about grassy wickets that may assist seam movement.

Great work as always Miraz!
Where are all the Sylheti fans in this forum? Make some noise!
Hoping for a big year for Sylhet this time around. I am predicting a big season for Nabil, Mushfiq and Alok. Khalem could emerge as the surprise package.
