I hear the thread was created, but now disappeared!!! Will the moderators please look into this?

As far as I want BD to win over Eng, I would like to see Ind lose with WI. Then India's morale will be low in case we have to fight them in QF.

3 down 3 to go.
next up SA.
QF matchup:
Bd vs SA
Pak vs Aus
SL vs NZ
Ind vs Eng

What a match for BD. The revenge still doesn't taste sweet. May be beating their senior side would ease the pain a little. 49/7 to 149/10 in 42 overs.

For England, total opposite. 40/1 with 40 overs remaining to 136/10 in 47.4 overs. 4 runouts.

Other matches:
SL bt Aus 5 wickets.
Pak bt Zim 76 runs.
Ind bt WI. 50 runs.

All Asian Semi-finals are still possible.

Default asian teams are stronger than ever

after the group stage,
asian teams have registered their supremacy in an unprecedented way.

if everything goes accordingly,
saf should succumb agt bd
eng will be eliminated easily by ind
aus has to bite the dust in the hands of the pak
nz may not be able to match sl

what's next?

sf#1 bd vs pak
sf#2 ind vs sl

so from semifinal onwards it might become asian u-19 championship!!!

I called for an investigation and my thought came true after Dr. Z disclose the result of his investigation. He didn't reviled the culprits name but one of the mod deleted THAT thread.

q-f#1 ind vs eng
q-f#2 bd vs saf
q-f#3 sl vs nz
q-f#4 pak vs aus

now look at the icc fixture:
on 27th feb,
s-f#1 to be played between winner of q-f#1 & q-f#2 (this is a printing mistake by icc)
on 29th feb,
s-f#2 to be played between winner of q-f#2 & q-f#4
now where is the winner of q-f#3????

we can get an idea from the line-up of play off semi finals
it shows,
play off s-f #1 will be played between the losers of qf#1 & q-f #3
play off s-f #2 will be played between the losers of qf# 2 & q-f # 4

therefore it becomes clear that semi final #2 will be played between the winners of q-f 2 (bd vs saf) and q-f #4 (pak vs aus)

SO IT'S NOT INDIA IN THE SEMI FINALS FOR BANGLADESH.

I did predict that Bangladesh will be the winner in Group D. I dont know if I picked all the winners, but my heart told me that BD will be the winner, but the way they won was awesome. What a team and what a captain who has nerves of steel, for after all, cricket is a mental game. He realized that even though he had to defend a small score, the pressure was on England to score those runs, and the stronger team led by their captain won. I hope they play like this in all their matches.
Beating SA will not be a tall order, they have played them and beaten them already.
They have to concentrate on the next qualifying round, and hope that they do not face India.

I don't like this talking about SF before QF like last tournament. I was reading views of former u-19 captain before this WC and Mushy - the last u-19 captain said: in last wc 2006 they thought about the SF game against Ind before playing Eng in QF and paid the heavy price.....so plz no more SF talking. All I know is we need to beat SA first and then think about SF opponent.Thanks.

with that 41 allout performance I have lost all my courage and hope. Doesn't matter to me if we get the 5th position now. I was looking forward to the finals. I see SL also stumbled. grrr!!!!

it all started with that weired thread... all dosh kalpurush bhai er...

On a serious note i think BD management knew that this team is not that good hence they didn't even hire a foreign coach and tried with local people...
