Signature bug?

I just noticed that I posted (mathematics thread) one of the member’s own signature in response to his inquiry but now he has changed his signature. All his posts including previous one have the same signature. Because of this my post has lost meaning and appears to be a stupid reply.
On the other hand, I have adopted a new signature but this has not been applied to my previous posts. Is this an anomaly or just a harmless bug?

Signature is always dynamic; i.e. anytime you change your signature, it propagates to all of your posts.

I was also referring to my first post in suggestion box thread. There is no signature.
