If we can't make it to QF, I will not be very disappointed. I am happy the was we are performing in this WC so far (except for the WI game). I hope we can make it to the QF. If not, no big deal. But I want a win against the dutch.

You guys are overestimating south africa, just negotiate Dale Steyn (esp. if he's reversing) and Morkel and get the top order out cheaply.
And its a dead rubber for south africa, they wont take this match very seriously. if anything theyre gonan rest key players

I think we will make it. WI will beat Eng. That English bowling minus Broad will get murdered by WI, especially in the sub-continent where not too much sideways movement is on offer, which is English strength. The pressure on Eng is immense and its also their last game. WI bowling has a lot of variety. Its not gonna be walk in the park for Eng.

Very rational post.
We have to convincingly beat the dutch and exceed our performance level and choke the perrenial chokers! If the end result is that we are in the QF, then happy days!!

I hope so.. we have to believe!
But I am not so confident as you are. This English team is very very unpredictable, and with Morgan now sheperding their middle order, I would make them slight favourites against WI. Coupled with the fact that, WI are very very prone to collapses much like ourselves, the omen doesn't look good.
I hope the Windies can beat England, but I suspect we will have to win against S.Africa to progress, which we can!

Exactly.
Tamim and Kayes needs to see off Steyn and Morkel, no need for 10 runs per over initially. If they can do that, I believe we will win.
but one game at a time . . future is Oranje!

If we don't so whaaaaa? You've got a great sense of humor, trying to make the Brits and the Saffers feel safer. eh? Way to be a gracious host.

It is an open field, let BD beat the Netherlands first, then try for a win against SA. If they are destined to make the QF, they will do so if Allah wills it.

We will qualify for the 2nd round Inshallah. So I am not gonna think that 'if' we don't qualify etc etc. We will beat SA on Saturday and move to the Quarters boys. Just pray and never loose faith.

I'll be a bit disappointed, because we're at home, and while that brings a ton of pressure, it also offers us a chance to play to our real strengths.
Can't imagine us trying to play 30+ overs of spin in Australia, and being as effective.
So, disappointed at a missed opportunity, but not angry, or bitter. That loss to the WI and then the win against told me all I needed to know about the current bunch, what they lack in talent, they makeup in spades with character and heart.
That pleases me immensely.

Pros don't think that way. They want the intensity to be high till the end.
Beating SA isn't impossible, but indeed it's difficult. We've done that in the past. I'm not that hopeful that we'll be able to repeat that this time, but I won't be surprised if we can. I pray to Allah that we're able to beat the Saffers in style - going to QF is very important to BD's cricket future.

It will not be the end of the world, even if they finish with 6 points, ICC will not throw them out of the next world cup, ZIM might have to play a qualifier.
