That's not fair. If Hussey gets to save SA, why can't we get Shiv to save us as well? At best give us Samuels...

SA in big trouble. It looks like they'll lose. They need to drop Rudolph after this series. He's simply not good enough at Test level. They should bring back Philander for Tahir. Losing Kallis for the next Test is a huge blow.

It seems South Africa is going to lose the match. They are 77/4. They need more 353 runs to win. There is one day remaining.

Crazy run rate that's why nobody really gives a damn about Test Cricket. I feel once the back to back Ashes starts and finishes, it will be the end of Test Cricket. Sports are all about quicktime competition nobody has time for Test Cricket hated by most of the world anyway.

But there is a bigger visceral aspect at work - the lust for survival. Good teams can win and good teams can survive. I still remember fondly Amla's valiant efforts in Kolkata at the end of which our not-so-friendly neighbors got #1 status. I will never forget that defense, shielding of the tail - pure valiance.

I'm sure there are a lots of crowd in Aus and Eng, who enjoys that 1.5 RR in test cricket.... wish I could post a picture of those spectators...
Seriously, I won't mind if Shak and Nasir would bat out yesterday and today with a 1.00 RR for 90+ overs and drawn this test.....wouldn't you be entertained by that ??

I would love that! It takes courage to fend off the enemy. If we could have done it twice we would have drawn this series.

And people wonder why BD sucks at test cricket... they know that SA are going to lose but atleast they are putting up a fight. There is no pride in slogging and getting all out with in 90 overs. This is test cricket, not pajama cricket.

This is TEST cricket not T20's. Tests aren't the place for entertaining crowds. T20's are. Unfortunately our players try to entertain even in Tests

and the pair live on for after lunch session. Well played.
Lunch time commentory: " It takes great mental strength to rein in those attacking instincts that these two have" - these two being AB and Faf.

AB took 220 balls for his 33. How did he manage that being a very attacking batsman
