Wouldn’t pin my hopes on that logic, shanto has been canned, didn’t get a proper run.

Tamim picked up a side strain during training so he is out of action for the test series at least.

Then I say give Shadman and soumya the opener positions for the series and whoever does better will be Tamim’s partner in the next test series.

The beginning of the end for Tamim Iqbal Khan. Injuries are piling up. it’s sad to see you go out like this tiger. Hope you got enough left in the tank for a great last World Cup flurry.

West Indies will be thoroughly prepared for this considering they have played India.

It's not that I think Kieran is the new Greenidge, but I suspect he will make the team, simply because he hasn't been dropped from the side that played against India. In fact, nobody has!

Was trying to get a fresh faced and more compact batsman in Ambris than in Keiran Powell.
I don't think Bishoo is any good as the spinner anymore. His returns on spinning wickets have been abysmal, to say the least.
I would rather go with an all out pace attack. Our spin reserves in Chase and Kraigg with provide the necessary support.

Today 6 years ago, was the day Abul Hasan scored century against WIndies as a number 10 batsman on his debut,
only the second such instance.

Nope, I believe they both debuted in the same series but Gazi debuted first test while Abul debuted second test.

I somehow thought that this was the match mushy opened the bowling with Gazi (a preview of things to come with another off spinner:Miraz)

Tamim is likely to be back for 2nd Test. If that happens, we should have a good enough line up of batsmen to discard Mithun-Imrul from the Test team for good.

^^ I am assuming you actually had not watch in which manner he scored his runs. Those funky wild slogs will get him nowhere against a decent Test attack.
In another news, Shak is still doubtful for the first Test. He will decide whether to play an hour before the match.

Nayeem Hasan and Soumya is in, again the same negative tactics of playing only one proper pacer . Liton and Khaled out , no Shadman
Shakib in for Ariful

Really wanted to see Shadman bat. And whats up with only one pacer? So defensive mindset
