Default test and ODI ranking by BD fans

please give points out of 100 in the ranking on recent performance.
for me:

test:
1. Australia 98
2. England 90
3. Srilanka 85
4. Newzealand 84
5. India 83
6. Pakistan 82
7. South Africa 81
8. West Indies 70
9. Bangladesh 40
10. Zimbabwe 30

ODI:
1. Australia 98
2. Srilanka 84
3.England 83
4. India 82
5. Newzealand 81
6. South Africa 80
7. Pakistan 79
8. West Indies 75
9. Bangladesh 50
10. Zimbabwe 45
11. Kenya 30

comments are most welcome but it will be helpful if you allocate points so that we can make an overall ranking on the basis of total points allocated for each team.

i have done this ranking from my overall observation and considering the quality of the teams in recent times. as you have noticed no formula (used by ICC) reflects current standard of the teams.

India is doing better than NZ in test. Otherwise I agree with your ranking.

I'd give WI 76 points in test and out WI above Pakistan. Otherwise I agree.

I am actually thinking of counting the the points posted here by the fans and making an overall ranking order which should reflects bd fan's opinion.
though it has to be a good participation.

What are the bases of the ranking? How do your grade them? Are those numbers are winning average? I would say # 9 Bangladesh with the grade 15, and #10 Zimbabwe 10 on Test, and #9 Bangladesh 20, #10 Zimbabwe 15, #11 Kenya 8 on ODI.

Good idea. But we have to make sure we vote logically and not with our emotions.

I somewhat agree with your test ranking apart from putting BD b4 Zim might be a little too soon. But i completely disagree with your ODI ranking caz we dont even know how has it been done, beside in 2004 Pakistan did better than India, infact Newzealand also did better than India. And in what basis u put kenya after BD or Zim caz i dont think they even played any ODIs last year, did they?

i have put bd before zims on the basis of recent performance which we both won ODI and test series. if you want to argue saying they are not the strongest team you can do so but i strongly believe if zims play their strong team we would still compete 50-50. kenyia has not played much cricket and in the mean time bd progressed so i had to put bd and zims before kenya. anyway this is my opinion and you have every right to disagree.
so how would you rank?

I agree with bourney's rankings for the tests. South Africa is actually a lot better than number 7. They may have just lost a test series but they lost to a pretty good team and it was closer than it may have seemed!
