rony talukder
zubair hossain ---although he didnt do anything in DPL or NCL
mustafizur--- dont have any back up pacer
sohag--- back from ICC testing and superb allround form and young energetic fighter
razzaq--he might come back in ODI
naeem--- super form in all format and can be solid in middle order plus his bowling, prfer him in test
enamul JR--- he can be handy in test matches
saqlain sajib-- he has been performing several years but never gets call
ziaur rahman-- in ODI and t20--- he can be pace allrounder, good form
rajin, tushar--- if experience counted
robiul--- might be in for test but no solid performnces recently
najmul--- fan fav but not BCB favourite
alamin-- need to see how he plays after suspension and ICC suspicion

We need good pace bowlers for test matches (Mashrafe is 32+ with injury issues, Rubel has never performed and Taskin is too young) along with couple of quality orthodox spinners ( leggie and offspinner). Without bowlers we can't expect to compete in test!
For ODI and T-20 we have decent chance against Pak with our current team.

But, I like the part of your post where you mentioned 'second win'. I am actually lot more optimistic. I dream of 'wins' not just a 'win'.

I never liked it either. But knowing the history of BC, this will happen for sure. Remember the fights/debates in BC about why PAK should not travel in March or not sing their anthem on our soil before match?

I want a second string team. I want some win first. And no matter who is the opposition, win feels AWESOME.

Does that mean Shakib misses out on the IPL?
We always seem to have a mental block against Pakistan. Historically our players (and fans) have been in awe of Pakistan's talented players and that plays a role in us not being able to beat them.
Hope we give a better performance this time but wont be surprised if they win all matches, cos I am still not convinced that we have mentally matured as a team.

I am highly optimistic, if we perform like what we did in the WC, we can win the ODI series. This should be our fresh squad:
1) Tamim Iqbal (I am praying that he finds form very fast, he is slowly moving towards our wasted talents list; composing of Ash, Rajin Saleh, Aftab Ahmed, Junaid Siddique, Shahadat et al.)
2) Litton Das (Anamul unlikely to make a come back any time soon, We would much rather send a kangaroo in a Bangladesh kit to bat rather than Imrul KaEdge)
3) Soumya Sarkar
4) Mahmudullah Riyad (Both batsman did an excellent job in the WC, should retain their position)
5) Shakib Al Hasan
6) Mushfiqur Rahim
7) Shabbir Rahman
8) Nasir Hossain
9) Arafat Sunny (Specialist Spinner, since we are playing in BD)
10) Taskin Ahmed (Rotate this spot with Mashrafe, he won't be playing first game due to suspension)
11) Rubel Hossain (Rotate this spot with Al Amin)
Or play 3 pacers and take off Sabbir/ Nasir. But give everyone a chance to play through out the series by rotating.

Lets get ready for a BanglaWash, guys!
Unfortunately, my favourite team has to be on the receiving end.

Isn't better to hold the horse for a while?
Remember Mushy's statement before playing young India team last year? I know we are playing better cricket now under a better captain.....yet....

Should totally thrash this Pakistan side. They are down and out. Misbah was their inspirational leader. He is gone. Afridi, bangla basher is gone too. Also their batting is vulnerable. Wahab Riaz wont get the bite he got in aussie pitches and others are trundlers. If Ajmal returns, he wont be at his best. Momentum is completely with us. I see no excuse than not to win against these lots. We wont have a better opportunity.

Good if they have solved their differences.
We shouldn't make any mistakes in planning and executing a complete strategy to white wash Pak, starting with pitch surprises to actual playing.

Pakistan government clears tour to Bangladesh
Pakistan will tour Bangladesh in April for a full series involving all three formats with the Pakistan government giving the board the green signal. The tour is likely to be preceded by the visit of a security team but it is understood that is more a formality than a potential decider.
The tour, scheduled to begin on April 15, will involve two Tests, three ODIs and a T20.

Thats because they lack aggression, which is needed in a fast bowler.

How do you guys say we will play against Pakistan second XI?
I mean Afridi retired (not confirmed), Misbah is really old. Except Irfan, we wil be playing against Pakistan National Team! Junaid Khan, Saeed Ajmal, Wahab Riaz will be the core of Pakistan team, than you have Umar Akmal, Ahmed Shehzad et all, who will be the core of pakistan batting. This is our best chance to compete and beat them! don't put it off by sayings its the second XI, which i believe it is not, this will be the first XI of pakistan team. Let us beat them and break the jinx... we can do it, hoping to see one or two new players.
