Considering that every group would be tough for us, that actually is not so bad for BD. Zimbabwe's group might be easier to get out of, but the WI are playing at home. Any idea when they will announce locations? Seems a bit early for groupings....

May be some sort of advantage for us as we have played India and New Zealand already in an ODI Series.

Two years to go and we should be building towards this tournament by playing some games out in the West Indies instead of India.

I was thinking the same thing before the world cup 2003, and now look what happened afterwards.

If things were like this, then we would definitely be disappointed as we are not yet capable of beating 3 games out of 3 even against ICC Associate nations (not counting UAE or other ACC teams) - and that, in a highly prestigious World Cup tournament - Our players will be nervous like hell.

With teams like India and New Zealand or Sri Lanka in our team, at least our players will have some time to settle their nerves. Ofcourse, I wouldn't want the game aginst ICC Qualifier either in the first match or the last match - because that is the game where we always do either pretty bad or pretty good - I wouldn't want to get a chance on that.

It seems we missed out our 'Old-Rivals'... the Pak+WI's group4 !!

If we had been in that group instead of Zimbabwe.. we would hav had some extra moral boost while the matches.lol!

Default Possible 2007 worldcup group

WORLD CUP GROUPS IF THEY WERE DRAWN ON 23 FEB:

GROUP 1:
Australia (1)
South Africa (5)
ICC Trophy qualifier (1)
ICC Trophy qualifier (5)

GROUP 2:
New Zealand (2)
India (8)
Bangladesh (11)
ICC Trophy qualifier (4)

GROUP 3:
Sri Lanka (3)
England (7)
Kenya (10)
ICC Trophy qualifier (3)

GROUP 4:
Pakistan (4)
West Indies (6)
Zimbabwe (9)
ICC Trophy qualifier (2)

BBC

If New Zealand get white washed by Australia in current ODI series Then Sri lanka will be number 2. Sri Lanka will replace NewZealand in our group in that case.

Who do you like to face in our group in WC 2007. Is it Sri Lanka or New Zealand.

I would rather face both Sri Lanka and New Zealand instead of India, because India already have been beaten by us - be it due to their poor selection policy; India will be very serious facing us in a world cup match, but New Zealand and Sri Lanka will not; since we have not yet beaten them once.

I would rather play Sri Lanka than New Zealand. New Zealand are a more disciplined side, on their day Sri Lanka can be a very good One day team but they can also have eratic days which is quite common amongst the asian country's.
