Default Second Test in The Same Venue & Pitch

If this news is true, do you think it's going to be good for us that we had some practice and can handle the batting better than 1st test? Or do u expect almost similar performance?

Pitch questions for back-to-back Tests
Firdose Moonda in Harare
April 22, 2013

read all

I quote:

Quote:
This is only the 13th occasion in Test history that the same venue is being used for two Tests in the space of eight days but it is the first time in 11 years that is happening. Sharjah was the most recent case, where Australia and Pakistan played in 2002 and Harare has hosted consecutive Tests once before, in 1999 against Sri Lanka.

it will be same venue but a different pitch.

during the first match commentators were discussing this. there were about 8 strips and the first game was played at the 4th or 5th. the second game will be played at the 2nd or 7th.

this was what the commentators were thinking

Good. Let's see if we can learn from our mistakes and give it a shot again.

I think In 2nd test we will have better performance. But I dont think that same wicket will do anything good for us. Rather same wicket will panic our boys.
These Zimbow's are really cunning. They already have disgusted our players by poor fascility now they are trying to make our team panic by using same wicket?

In a way this gives us a chance to come back because sporting pitches always produce results. A draw isn't enough for us at this point so we need to go in with the intension of winning the test

Both team gonna have to play on the same pitch. Yeah, they are more familiar with it than we are, because it's their home, but we had enough familiarity with it during first test. In fact, first innings should have been enough.

No more excuses. You get the result like you play. They need to learn to take responsibility.

Problem is we can never take responsibility

The possible positive side is:
If ZIM strategy (using the same venue and pitch) backfire we win, it will be indeed a sweet revenge with double the sweet in the revenge.

On the other hand likely negative side is:
"Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." - Albert Einstein quotes. So we may end up with similar result. So double the humiliation.
