Default Discovering myself!!!

I had no idea that how bad I am. I am starting to find people who are strong in areas where I lack strenth. When you find out such new developments about yourself, you have nothing but to sigh!!! Only God knows!!!

Do not even think about committing suicide man, you might never know what you are capable of then .

One more thing do not try to always relate to others, think what you want to be and go for it .

Dont worry mate.. we all go thru the same phase..
guess its part of growing up...

if it makes u feel any better...look at history.. even our Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) got his prophethood at the age of 40.. which tells that is the age when a man gets to know himself and attains total maturity in life...

but i suppose neither u, me or most of the members here in BC is around that age yet...

so i say
fasten your seat bealt
and enjoy this journey
better known as life..

Getting frustrated is kind of blessings. If you never go through frustrations, you will never know that you can conquer them. The more you face bad time, the more you get yourself stronger!

Abd,
there is a good chance that you might be at the same age of my younger brother. I have passed through the experience of down and out. When you are out just remember the poem 'If' by Rudyard Kipling. My favorite verses are
Quote:
If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:
...
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And-which is more-you'll be a Man, my son!

Discovering yourself is a process. Everyone has to go through. I discovered in a early age that I could not fly like superman.

Best way to get out of a depression is to read. Read a novel, story book, mystery book, read anything but BD newspapers (that would depress you more). Read articles on your heros, prophets etc.

I am going to Quote mhferdous in bold, "One more thing do not try to always relate to others." Each and every person is different. So don't compare yourself with others. You can't be Mohammad Ali and that is the fact. But you can be the best Abd that you can be.

i want to be 6 ft but I am only 5'8 and will be 16 this July 15, can I reach 6ft? it frustates me a lot when i think i can't be 6, but then somehow i just make myself up by remembering the tortures of the life hereafter and that our main objective is jannah, and knowing in mind that the physical appearance will be futile after death and it will not last for eternity.

A small request from my side; can i still be 6ft?

Sure you can. Buy a 4" boot, you will have to lower your head to go under 6' - 0" clearance.

I knew someone who grew up till when he was 28 years of age. So nothing is impossible.

Hey Abd, don't feel bad about yourself. Like everyone said, it will make you stronger, but don't sulk and let it consume you completely. Move on and do the things that interests you to keep your mind and body occupied.. I hope you'll feel better.

Israr, I'm sure you can be 6ft tall in a few years.. I heard an average man grows until age 23 or something, but I agree with cats_eye, it's not impossible to grow beyond that age. One of my friends in BD was 6ft tall at age 15 and I think he's still growing last time I saw him. I turned 19 and still getting taller although I look too young. I remember last year I had to show ID to pay by card at a dept. store, and I was only buying milk and some music magazines.

Life is not fair, feel tall inside and you'll like it.
