Should Mushfiqur be stripped of his captaincy?
We all have seen him make many bad decisions on the field, but the way he gave it up by bowling Rubel at that stage really calls for a dismissal as captain. This was an inexcusable mistake. Absolutely inexcusable.
Who should replace him? I think Mash could be a much better choice. He understands the game and has a real passion for it.

Will Shameem have the brains to ask Mushy about that fateful over?

Dont know to be honest. The 2 overs Rubel bowled before THAT over he gave 7 runs. Better use of the pacers, and Nasir not bowling is a problem. I also don't like the idea of starting with Gazi where 5 overs go by and you still have 80% of bowling to do. Once Shakib returns though, this hopefully wont be a problem.

I think Enam Sr. should be stripped of Umpiring.

Everyone here at BC knew that he should have continued with spinners. The commentators also said the same. If he had to go to pace, Mash was a much better choice. Mushy might be the only one to not know it.

When Shakib comes back, one of the spinners would have to go. Mushy would make the same mistake again and again.

Those 2 overs were bonus. I thought he would stop after the 1st one. Once MS got his 100 he shouldn't have brought him back. Should've brought in Mash. Or even Gazi to get rid of Samules

Common sense issue. Our captains always have to stick to the book. They can't do anything outside the box. Nayeem had plenty of overs left. He could have easily bowled a few more overs.

Gazi had 1 over left and Riyad had 1.

Even WI did not use their pacers toward the end and their pacers are much better. Darun knows the game.

Oh come on! We all know Mashrafe is a horrible death bowler. Don't say that.
He should have continued with the spinners, even Samuels was finding it a tad difficult to play them after being on the crease for so long.
I don't get his decision to bring in Mominul. Wasn't it because the spinners could finish their remaining quotas for the innings?
Pathetic decision.

That slip-up from Mushy is still fresh and may be it is effecting our judgement on Mushy. We simply have no alternatives at this moment.
I'll come back to this thread once the series is over

Isnt that cricket? You get the bonus and you think maybe one more. For all we know mominuls third over could have gone for a lot of runs and we would be saying the first two were bonus why give him one more. I know and understand when people say we should have continued with spin, but some times you go with your gut instinct and things dont work out.
Mash taking the catch of Samuels would have changed the whole game too. Not defending Mushy or Rubel here but such things happen.

Mash is a better choice in ODI. No alternative for the tests yet.

But, he did not need to push his luck. There were enough overs left for his spinners. You don't need brains. Just common sense.

Absolute bull crap performance. Fire the captain, coach, selectors, batsmen and pacers! They don't deserve international cricket and international cricket doesn't deserve them!

Agree, get a batsman out clearly three different times and still can't make him leave the crease. All hell broke loose here.

People should move on really. Its good he went with his gut instinct. He will learn. Yes he will learn. End of story.
And no, dont fire him.

I am not hopeful of that. He has shown no tendency of learning from his earlier mistakes.

Bhai, Mash er ek pa shob shomoy operation theatre e thake. You need someone stable, not someone who is so prone to injuries. And personally I think BD is not in a position where we can have different captains for different formats..Yes Mushy had cost us matches but we have no one at this moment to replace him.
He should stop keeping. In this way he can focus on his decision making and his batting. He is struggling to play that many.roles for sure
