Studs up at the chest is dangerous in any given situation. Doesn't have to be any 'intent' involved, he was flying into a player's bloody chest with his studs up...

Wait, what?

When did Arbeloa tell that? Please give a source or don't make up stories.

I think the Red Card was justified. Not only did he go with his studs up, which is considered dangerous and often results in a FK, but when Nani was air-bourne, it's clearly visible that he went in and pushed his studs further against Arbeloa (his intent looked bad). The linesman had a clear view near the touch line. I think it was a fair decision. Could have gone either way, but to make such a brave call in a big match, kudos to the ref!

Jose Mourinho said in post match interview arbeloa told him that nani didnt see him coming, meaning it was accidental.

Quote from the Law book

'A player is guilty of serious foul play if he uses excessive force or brutality against an opponent when challenging for the ball when it is in play. Using excessive force means that the player has far exceeded the necessary use of force'

I dont see how nani kicked out at arbeloa 'clearly visible that he went in and pushed his studs further against Arbeloa' completely disagree with that, he saw him at the last second, no chance to pull out, also there is no excessice force, he was trying to control a 50/50 ball in midfield, like he often does.

That was never a red card, no excessive force no brutality, it was a Madrid free kick and yellow card for Nani.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i4ZqUYQ__1I

Frame by Frame replay, there was no malicious intent, no brutality at all, his foot moved forward at the end because his whole body momentum was going forward.

Madrid are going after Gareth Bale. In exchange Tottenham might get Modric. This should be interesting!

I heard it's £50 million + Modric, that in my opinion is very worth it for Spurs, Modric is a world class player, just hasn't fit in madrid, 50 + Modric is like 80 million for me.

I was very impressed with Di Maria's contribution in the game. He really showed how skilful he is.

FT: Galatasaray 3-2 Real Madrid

Clinical performance in the first half. Switched off completely in the second half, they score 3 in 15 mins.

Madrid did well in the first half. They had two really good opportunities to score more goals but unfortunately it didn't happen. At least we won on aggregate so i don't mind the loss. We really have a good chance to win UCL this year.

Btw what a finish by Dortmund against Malaga.

Last ever game for RM at the difficult San Mames, and we come out 3-0 victorious! (Bilbao are shifting to a new home at the end of the season!)

Piss poor. Don't deserve to be in the UCL final with that defence!

3-0 next week could bring us back in, but this hammering will take it's toll. Don't see it happening.

Pepe and Alonso,

Wow. Just wow. I thought 3-1 result wouldn't have been so bad considering how bad RM was playing. That penalty was just pointless. The guy wasn't even in a good position to make a play. I don't see them coming back from this. BD will score at least 1 goal and that will put the game away for sure.
