How did Hoggard get 6 wickets in one innings in the subcontinent. This is way too many. I am really wondering what transformed him to this new level, or is it just a fluke?

I am surprised.... very good performance by England.
India is becoming a mediocre TEST team but great ODI team.

hey is this munaf patel kid really as fast as indian fans are hyping him up to be?
he has allegedly bowled 151 kph against england in the practice match. i wonder if that is 'rajib' hype happening to him also.

Ye, evry new indian fast bowler is at least as fast as S Akther if not Lee. I forgot counting Zaheer Khan, Irfan Pathan, Sreshnath .... and evry new indian pace bowling all rounder is in the same league of Rajjak, Pollock, Kallis, Flinthof. By the way, if you do not know Pathan is better than W Akram. If you have doubt visit the indian cricket forums.

No, this Munaf kid is really fast. In fact he is faster than any Indian bowler over the last 10-15 years. However, fast doesnt always translate to "good".
However, i have this hunch we will see more of Munaf in the next 4-5 years

is munaf patel a muslim, a hindu, or a hindu-muslim?
it seems quite a lot of guju muslims have patel as their last name. is this correct?

Kaif dropped,
He is really unlucky, not many players get dropped after scoring 91 in a Test.

When you have a player like Yuvraj, you need to make a double ton to replace him. But, I think Kaif will get his chances.
What happened to VVS Laxman, why is he so incosistent now a days? I used to enjoy his batting!
So, looks like Patel is playing, and will find out soon how quick he is. most likely RP sing will also make it.

Munaf Patel bowled some superb reverse swinging yorkers at 140+ kmph on the first day. More than the pace, his accuracy and control stood out, which shows that he uses pace judiciously, not as a means to show off.

He started bowling quick after lunch. His quickest was a 144.7 kmph reverse swinging yorker to Collingwood, which the batsman just survived.

Munaf patel 's bowling action doesn't look like he is bowling at that great pace..... ...unlike the way shoib or Brett lee bowls...

Zaheer Khan could also bowl at 89 mph at the very beginning of his career.

If you are talking speed and accuracy talk about Munaf Patel.
Recently we saw Mohammad Asif develop in Pakistan and now here is Munaf.....good stuff...who says sub continent do not produce quality pace bowlers?
Excellent job by Kumble too.
CONGRATULATIONS TO DRAVID AND TEAM ON A MEMORABLE VICTORY!
WELL DONE INDIA!
