I must say, these selectors have really outdone themselves this match by making our team much worse than it can possibly be (how is that even freakin possible), by replacing JS with someone 10x as worse Nazza who couldn't even get past 5 runs and playing as our opener
Take a bow selectors

These three may still not making all the right moves, but I see some change of direction in recent time and don;t know if its coincidence or not... it happened just after Lotus left.
After a long long time, suddenly they are infusing new bloods in the team, more boldly than any other time in their entire tenure.
IN TEST SERIES:
Our top 18 players are full of dead woods, so yes... even they started with Juniad and SN and sticked with SN and then bring back Nazim, still they were bold enough to give a chance to Shohag & Abul... and stick with Naeem and Nasir instead of keeping Shahadat or brining back mashrafee or Imrul or Ashraful.
In ODI:
Looks like they give Mominul and or Anamul a chance. Imrul was kind of unlucky, but the selectors wanted to take a bold move instead of taking easy and safe route. yes I would like to see Zia in the team, but I can understand why he was not selected. He need to take all the opporunity to make a case, and he filed to do so against WI warmup match. So no complain from me, even though I still believe in Zia.
So far we have seen some mixed result, with some postive outlook from new comers. Hopeholly that will give the selectors some confidence and help them taking more bold moves than ever before.
So, yes this is not the best selectors, but I see they are going to the right directions... its a matter of time before most of the dead woods will be gone from the team.

Selectors lost the Test for us by selecting wrong teams in both Tests. In those pitches there was no impact of our pacers. You don't play with one debutant spinner considering Shakib was not fully fit. Gazi maybe a good pick but that pick was a no brainer. However we could have been just as good or even better not playing 2 full time spinners. And Abul was picked for bowling, we were very lucky that he scored a century, but if we had 2 spinner instead of Nazim and Abul, the WI would never cross 300 to begin with.

@Reyme: Pace bowling is important in Cricket, doesn't matter how good you are you need a minimum of 2 in any format. You're forgetting how New Zealand destroyed our spin trio at world t20.

Nazmul's injured bro. Also harsh to drop Gazi after such a great display in the Tests don't you think? Also with the amount of lefties WI have, it's better to have Gazi there ahead of Sunny. Also just 3 specialist bowlers? Too little in my opinion. Need at least 4 in there. Also Mash>>>Zia when it comes to bowling and same quality with batting too although many might disagree.

Look like Chachu's moves are paying off in ODI.
4 new players in 1st ODI without your best player (injured) plus Naeem and Ryiad, you would think disaster is about to happen. Who is going to replace Sakib's batting and bowling? Plus they need more to win.
They could take safer route:
Sunny/Enamul instead of Shohag
Imrul instead of Anamul
Jahirul/Junaid instead of Naeem
SN instead of Mominul
Rubel or Saiful instead of Abul
But they took the risk and and too many risks for some people's comfort and atleast for first odi, it paid off.
Abul, to my surprise, was pretty good with the ball except for 2 overs.
Anamul gave stability at the other end and we didn't missed Imrul at all.
Shohag is the find of this series and was the MOM, nothing else to say. It will be hard for Sunny and/or Enam to bypass him
Mominul was not needed so he was not holding us back in any way.
Naeem had a reaaly one bad over and was never tried. Besides that, his batting helped us stabilizing one end and reach the low scoring target without much hicup.
Bowling wise Ryiad filled Sakib's slot and did pretty well with the ball, containing the batsmen and getting some wickets.
So far in ODI, chachu... you are a hit....one bucket (12 piece) of fried chicken for you... only for you.

2 ODI two wins without Sakib and with 4 rookies. And three rookies are already contributing in a big way.
A big Hug and Chumma to the selectors....atleast they realized bringing new blood (intead of recycling old reject) is the way to go.

For Tests, I would say they were far too defensive which could've cost us. Playing with 8 batsmen was just overkill and using Shakib as the 4th bowler was putting too much burden.
In ODI's, credit needs to be given where it's due. They gutted the non-performers in Junaid, Nazim, SN, and Shahadat, while putting in new blood in Anamul, Mominul and Abul in. Also I hope the selectors realize the importance of having a specialist spinner in alongsides Sohag. Don't rely on Shakib as a specialist spinner because he's an allrounder and has enough responsibilities with the bat. Have Razzak for T20's and ODI's while Sunny should be there for Tests.

What a ridiculous decision to bring back Naeem into ODIs. Absolutely no excuse there.

But wouldnt everyone scold the selectors if they opted for Jahurul or Junaid or Shahriar Nafees instead of Naeem?
Our batting is in an appalling state. Not just the NT, Bangladeshi cricket in general. Look at the NCL results, scores look more like one day than first class. Whoever is chosen will flop. Our number 1, 3, 4 problems are far from over.

I don't understand why Mahmudullah refuses to bat in the top order. This isn't the first time he has run out of partners. I think the solution at hand is obvious. We need to demote Nasir to number 7 and bring Mahmudullah at Naeem's position with Mushy coming in at 4. That way we can at least save the middle order against the swinging ball should a wicket fall early.

Sadly this is like re-arranging deck chairs on The Titanic.
Shakib and Tamim are keeping the team afloat - just. Anamul will be in this category. Nasir could be - with a brain.
I don't think it matters at this point, too much about batting orders. Spin wins it or not usually.
