Default Whats up with our fielding and Keeping?

-Tamim doesn't attempt for a catch in the first over at Mid on

-Gazi and Anamul(who is probably on of the best fielding in the team) misses basics fielding at thw boundary

-Mushy-back back 4 byes through his leg of Shakib

-Mash misfield at short fine leg

-Zia missed one of the easiest runout you will ever see to Get Gayle out

Have they gave up already?

20 runs given away due to some stupid fielding.

Target is 171. Should have been 130 consider how much extras (17) and potentially 25 runs due to poor fielding

Mushfiqur and Mahmudullah these 2 M's cost us, hope they compensate with bat.
Zia actually bowled a wonderful over only if those catches were held.

Batsmen dropped and score extra runs. At least 30.

Gazi is never a good fielder, how did he catch one today.. oh wait it went to his lap.
Gazi is probably the most blessed bowler in BD - career avg 9.1 - never ever gave less than 7 in any single match.

interesting article.

The catches Riad dropped were not really due to floodlight. He was facing straight towards the pavillion and the floodlight wasn't supposed to get in the way.

But what was more dissappointing was our outfielding.

our fielders looked nervous & lost.
don't understand why, but as in all departments our fielding is also inconsistent.

It started off with our bowling. And now it's spreading:

Bowling - GONE
Batting - GONE
Fielding - GONE
Strategy - GONE
Confidence - GONE

^So basically we have reached the wall, if only now can we start moving forward.

BTW, I see improvement in pace bowling.

Improvements are only worth noting should they become a consistent behavior. Upon consistency, they get imprinted in your muscle memory. Ultimately this turns into a natural talent one can employ on demand. Sort of thing that distinguishes an average cricketer from an international one.

So what you saw concerning pace bowling isn't improvement. What you saw was West Indies being bit uncomfortable on their own behalf. Nothing to do with our pace bowling.
Keep your eyes open to see if the next pace bowling action resembles anything like today's against a better batting side like India.

I remember clearly someone said something like this in the 2011 World Cup, when we were 58 all out against the WIndies. He said something like, "Oh despite all this negativity and frustration, look how fast Rubel had bowled today." Well... look at Rubel now.
