Rony Talukdar had an avg of 24 with a SR of 140+ in last BPL. Nowhere near in contention....

Junaid Siddique is the another one selectors been consistently ignoring. Junaid actually has been doing well in all three formats in domestics.

He should at least get A-team chances.

Selectors hitting the panic button by selecting Aminul Islam. Can't bowl, can't bat. Just another bits and pieces player.

Yasir Ali deserved selection ahead of Shanto. Yeasin, Taskin and Ebadat should be ahead in the pecking order over Shafiul.

If you're going to drop Mahedi and Abu Hider without playing a game, what's the point of picking them in the first place.

^^ Nannu said Tasking got injured again, while sitting home. If that's true, you can't blame the selectors for his case.

This is all just a **** show.

Does the coach have any say in all of this?

I can hardly see how the coach can be blamed when he's been with the team for a month. Typical BCB and BFF move to throw the coach under the bus to keep the focus away from poor, incompetent management.

This slow rate of growth for Bangladesh cricket team over the past 20 years despite having full membership is extremely concerning.

A total chaos after the defeat and true picture how incompetent the structure is that is producing the players. No matter which players you select wont survive if they are not capable to go beyond the current status quo.

The way other associate T20 teams are playing, I am pretty sure Bangladesh will be out of first-round and won't be able to reach Super 12 in next year T20 World Cup.

There were signs that this was coming but we were in denial of it and overlooked it through mental gymnastics. However, the horror show against AFG on our home soil stripped the lungi off and exposed everything. We have no argument left

Yes , but BCB still trying to pass it off as a bad patch , we need this humiliation to continue for some action to be taken.

Ireland effortlessly chased down 194 against Scotland with 14 balls to spare. We would have gone on to choke mode from ball #1.

I am confused. Are you commenting on watching him 1st hand or based on faked news?

To me he looks good to me, bowled (at least one game) better than our other senior bowlers

So what is the plan to winning next two matches convincingly?

Utilize the pitch?
Utilize home condition?
Utilize the crowd support?
Utilize the basic execution with experience and valor?

Buying time with one innings? I would understand if it was a remarkable innings, but wasn't even that. This is typical ODI finisher innings, played at a T20 match. When you face 40 god damn deliveries in T20, you should at least be at 70.

Bowlers won Bd the game.

Need more of Aminul And Afif. And less of Mahmaduman and Fraudbin.

Ah pfft. I am a critic of Riad but his innings yesterday was pretty damn good.

Came in when his team lost a lot of quick wickets. Knew he needs to stay till the very end because we dont have much hard hitters down the order. Could have been better? Yes. But striking at 150+ he is the LEAST of our batting woes.

We human beings cannot rise above our emotion and bias, can we?

Talking about yourself? Unfortunately not - you will be fooled over and over again hoping to see some different pattern from your hero.

As for me, I make my bias known. I do not hide it nor do I try to feign objective neutrality.

Whenever Riyad plays a good innings, this is regarded as a comeback innings. It is a means of insulting and dismissing his contributions. Riyad scored centuries against WI and ZIM which were crucial for home test wins. Scored century in New Zealand. Played some important innings in WI that helped us clinch the ODI and T20 series. Played two important innings in WC against SA and AFG.

Were all of them comeback innings? Riyad is no aha-mori player but by BD standard, he is not so bad (going through off form due to injury), and more importantly, we have not produced any replacement of him yet. If we really have a replacement, I will trade my hero in a second.

PS: Shafiul to some extent is also a victim of such bias. Even when he performs well, his performance is dismissed as career saving performance.

Yes, subjective judgement is important in player selection and evaluation, but numbers should not be discarded and dismissed completely.

Not saying Anamul, Rony or Yasir would turn things around, but still would have been a wiser selection
I think the selectors have worked too long and must be changed.

Enjoyed the Hamilton show today, prolific win for Zim.

Hope tigers learn something like how to mix risk with courage and experience.
