Naeem Islam.

1. Tamim
2. Imrul
3. Nafees (just give him a chance, Ash can replace him if he fails)
4. Raqibul
5. Naeem
6. Riyad
7. Mushy
8. Shakib.

Now, I'm playing Shakib low because he'll be tired after bowling XD. 5-8 are all interchangable.

Promote everyone up the order and put Naeem behind Riyad. In situations when the top order fails, Naeem and Riyad make a good pair

mehrab jr, really? what's he done to get a call back? for me naeem is the only batsman who deserves a call to the national team, otherwise the best way to strengthen the batting is to move riyad and rahim further up the order. what other options are there? mehrab, NI, shamsur, nazmus, aftab, alok, marshall etc. they've all got talent but havean't shown the consistency and some have no experience. naeem has international experience and has shown to be somewhat reliable in ODIs, has a decent FC record and is in good form (just got that not out FC century in the last match). honestly i don't see any other option other than naeem when it comes to batting.

i actually forgot about the possibiliy of bringing in a specialist keeper but the only option there is dhiman and his batting probably isn't up to scratch. also maybe i'm being naive or just stupid but for me shuvo can only strengthen the team both in bowling and batting.

right now Ash is batting at number 4, and mushy can easily take over that position. he deserves to, after his form in test cricket for the last year or so. We already have a replacement in the team for Ash, he just needs to come up the order.

i feel like having roqibul at number 3 would be a good idea..he has the temperament and has the knack to glue partnerships so wickets dont collapse..SN, Zunaed, and Ash are all capable of self combusting..i think roqibul should be at #3 and have mahmudullah at #4, mushfiq #5, shakib #6, and naeem #7..i think team management has to consider having ash coming in later in the innings to provide quick runs..a quick 50 at the end of the innings could be useful for him and the team..

Mahmudullah to replace Ashraful in the batting order.

Get Enamul Junior in the squad. Reason is that Shakib & Mahmudullah Riyad are not able to take wickets as frequently as required - especially on Day 4 & 5. Shafiul and Rubel need the experience - they need some support and nurturing.

Aftab was pretty good in his time. I hope he regains his form back.

Why do people think Aftab is a good Test batsman? I'm curious.

u think enam junior will destroy the indian batting lineup? again, the indians are masters of playing spin bowling. sakib only managed to take only 2 wickets on their second innings.and u r expecting enam? we need good pacers against india.

Well..atleast I dont.
But too many debutant youngstars in the team makes me somewhat shaky..

It's been like that almost from the very beginning.

I would drop Ash and bring Basher. He is not officially retired yet.

At this point, I think Raqibul is more likely candidate to be dropped from the Test squad than Ashraful is. Then again, I will be glad if it's otherwise.

Either way, Naeem should find his way into the Test squad soon.

None...

Every name proposed is shitty to Ash. Sorry I had to say that. I think we have bigger problems & worse non nonperformers in the team, better find out a replacement of some of them.

Is he ready yet? I think he might just be to be honest. Here's what his FC career looks like:

Mat Inns NO Runs HS Ave BF SR 100 50 4s 6s Ct St

48 81 9 2641 126 36.68 5938 44.47 5 17

35 1

5 centuries and 17 half centuries already. Played 2 Tests, but that doesn't say much. He has a much better FC record than most of our Test players had before they had debuted.

naeem's FC average has actually dropped, he use to average 40 but he seems to be coming of age in ODIs and he must be in decent form since he got a not out FC century in domestic cricket recently so he may just be ready. definitely the only batsman who isn't already in the team atm who is worth giving ago imo.

Naeem's NCL average is not really much to talk about, Rajin and Sezan got better averages than he does. But I am hopeful about him because how he performed for the A-team and the academy team before coming to the national team.

Aftab was never a good Test player.... He should only be considered in ODI, only if he performs better than others in domestic cricket.
We are in a era where third generatio cricketers in BD are flourishing. It seems to me that the era of Aftab, shahriar, Ash and so on is gone.
