Litton surely played a part. Competition is an awesome thing.
Imrul has earned another series.

Proving us wrong
But, don't want to see him in ODI's. Stick with him in test. WE already have 4/5 openers/1 down in ODI's

Imrul like mominul is a good option for test, but not necessarily for ODI.

shobai jonno humble pie speech coming up...
ive posted before after his not so great world cup that criticisms of him are really unfair. Ive posted how he literally flew into australia on the back of no practice matches and had to face the likes of jimmy anderson and co. Then he went to nz to face boult and co in crazy swinging conditions which he probably never played in his wholel life! Then he goes to mcg where all our batsmen have done poorly... not only that but he was unfairly run out in that game!
But what happened. Everyone judged him so so harshly. Like i didn't even bother to type of posts in support of him because everyone had such a big hate agenda against him. Waste.. good for nothing... waste of space etc. Other people have said worse. But however i thought at least one person would post something in support of him... but everyone just so against imrul it was sad
Coming to the tests imrul was in good form in tests recently and deserved to be in the team. It should have been simple really... why was his spot in the test team questioned by people? Made no sense really. But instead everyone else complaining why imrul in the team and whatnot. Like wtfff. The guy got like 2 centuries recently and your saying this kind of stuff. Whatever.
And i did post imrul gonna make u guys eat humble pie!! And im sooo glad i was right!!! But it doesnt end here. He gets a fifty in the first innings ppl still pissed off saying omg this means he will be guaranteed in the next series... like wow imrul is actually hated that much in bc that whatever accomplishment he makes turns into negativity? Is this how we are?
And now he is sitting on 132* at the end of days play and now Bc gonna cosy up to imrul now? He didn't deserve to be so highly criticised in the first place. People make it seem like imrul is that terrible of a player. His only issues are balls on a good length outside off which he tends to nick and also at times the pull shot. Also his decision making can be poor. Other then that he has pretty good tools as a batsmen. Good technique as well.
I've always supported the more underdog type players. Like for Real Madrid everyone would support Ronaldo but i support Isco/Benzema. Everyone loves the Warner, Finch players but i love the Shaun Marshs. So for Bangladesh everyone loves the Shakib and Tamims but i love the Imruls and Sarkars.
Imrul let the haters hate dw ive always got ya back.

Imrul should not be in ODI though based on his test performance.
Well done! Congratulation for 3rd test century.

people call him test specialist---then no he is not good for test---he is good for ODI
then no,, he is not suitable for ODI--he is test material………..
same goes with hafeez.

I guess this is my told ya moment
He has been superb at home Tests, since his return last year. While it was moronic for the management the call him up for WC with no prep, they did the right thing by sticking with him for the home Test series.

True.
Hope he doesn't get pick for odi based on his test form like SS who got picked on test based on his odi.

Right. From now on he should play as our specialist test opener. No need to play ODI now. First he should cement his place as an test opener then the other. Just the same thing for Anamul in short format.
Thanks to Haturu for giving chance to Imrul at WI series for a comeback.

It's wonderful to see we now have fixed both our ODI and Test opening pairs. It's also great to have guys like Anamul-Rony-Litton on the bench, incase things go South.

I liked that they tried someone new and played one of the promising newcomers, but it should have been Litton instead. He's an excellent first class record while Soumya doesn't.
Now Soumya can't be dropped because you've to give someone at least 2-3 series in a row. Imrul is doing well too. There's basically no room in the XI for Litton in the near future in Test or ODI.
They made a mistake here. Should've restricted Soumya's run to LOIs and should've introduced Litton in Test and T20s (in place of Riyad).
At least it's still learning experience for Litton from being part of the squads. And he'll cherish his opportunity and value his spot even more when the wait is over.

Jamie Siddons, Stuart Law in another time or place could have been Test stars. They couldn't because Australia was a settled, winning side. The fact that we have batters socring a ton of run on domestic cricket and A-team and not being able to get into the side because of incumbents performing, is yet another indicator of our cricketing maturity.
