didn't SN score a half century in the last test match against sri lanka? even when out of form he can get some runs so i'd definately like to see SN at least in the squad. NI is another one who i'd like to see in the squad, recently scored a half century in the NCL i think and from the commentry in the NCL season thread it sounded as if he was playing pretty well so maybe he's starting to get a bit of form back.

About NI - I have high hopes for him, which is why I'd really like him to fully recover from the injury and play a few more domestic/A team matches first. An odd half century in the NCL shouldn't be enough for someone to get picked - it's the whole package that matters, and much as I like him, NI isn't looking too good overall.

I think I have to agree with you guys as we don't have another opener so we have to go with out of form SN. I don't want to see any new openers in the Test series. Junaed Siddique should be tried out in the ODI series. He could be better than SN.

He is young, has many years in front of him to be a good batsman for the national team.

So let me try and fail in my course. May be I'll be exempted from the thesis
